I quite often defended him as a player

But there was no need to kick us in the guts while we were down

Now he knows how it feels , especially when you get rated the most overrated footballer in the NRL two years running

With the Independent directors coming in, people who are not affiliated with either board, they seem to have identified the areas of concern and are starting to do what they can to remedy it. For mine, Sydney is a very different sporting landscape to Melbourne, or even Brisbane. We're a fickle lot, and we love a winner. That is the primary problem. There's a small fraction of the fan base who decide on lesser issues like the amount of home grounds, price of food and drink, **the fact that we're not Balmain or the Magpies anymore etc**, but largely we want to see results and consistent competition for the big prize.

I'm jack of the continual circus that surrounds this club. I'll never walk away from the club, but it certainly chips away at the interest when ex-players, fans, media and supporters of other clubs can see the problems and the management seem to be the only ones with the blinkers on.

Yeah,i agree(mostly) with the theme of your post,i also will only ever support the Tige's but that doesn't mean i can't vent every so often at the mess we find ourselves in.
Winning is everything,while we bounce around near the bottom of the ladder nothing will change.We will continue to be a 'Club' with no heart or soul,no culture of any kind,no home ground,no clear definition of who we are and what we stand for other than being beaten in the majority of our games.
As i posted several times,the NRLC wants a Team based & playing in Greater Western Sydney,if we,as a club, continue along the same path the NRLC may well do a 'Wanderers' and start afresh with the Tigers franchise ending up in Qld. or Perth.My 2c.
