Pauli Pauli @ 120kg contract expires with Parra 2015 & Tepai Moeroa 112kg under contract with Parra till 2017 but unhappy playing playing NSW Cup. Both big mobile brutes suited to front / second row. Don't know Moeroa's contract terms but Pauli Pauli currently on $150k - offer $250k - $280k & same for Moeroa
As for centres it has to be James Roberts currently on $200k or SKD currently on $500k - personally I'd choose James Roberts at $400k - $450k - savings of $350k Moltzen; $160k Buchanan; $300k Richards; $200k Halatau; $150k Lulia, plus other dead wood Luani; Rowe.
Any consensus?

Roberts is a pipe dream. Not gonna happen

Moeroa, i know he played NSW cup the other day, but they have massive raps on him, they're not releasing him after dropping him for one match. They see him as their next Hindmarsh.

The two guys that would be great for us, and a very realistic chance of getting if we were keen would be Fonua and Alex Glenn.

Read on Parra forum that we have made a play for Pauli, Roberts is a fantasy.

Tepai only played reserve grade as he spent a week in hospital not long ago, Arthur wanted an easier hit out for him.

Glen would be terrific. Im starting to gain confidence in our back row, but Glenn would really help.

The only players we get from the Broncos need to break their legs twice

No chance with Alex Glenn sorry

Probably Kahu, Gavet or Blair GNR

Hopefully that sort of madness is past us now

Roberts maybe a pipe dream… But we should still go heavily after a gun centre. Even if it just pushes their price right up. show the market we are serious and put other clubs under pressure with the salary cap.

Kahu has already walked away from the tigers once. I would look like to see the tigers sign Ken Edwards. The tigers are looking pretty good with a reduction in interchange on the cards.

Both Parramatta and Gold Coast will need to shed players to keep under the cap with the signings of Foran; Beau Scott & DCE.
We shouldn't be shy in approaching genuine first grade talent x 2 in the $400k - $500k range given that we will be able to reduce our 2016 cap by at least $1million by letting the aforementioned off contract players go.
Definitely 1 power second rower and 1 speedy centre - Manu Fonua from Melb is not the answer lateral movement similar to Lawrence defence is appalling.
I doubt either Parra or Gold Coast (depending on whether Nate Myles stays) would be in a position to match $400k+ offers for these 2-3 players.
Marion Seve provided he can stay injury free will be a starting centre late 2016 / early 2017\. Just for once we should target the very best available player for either centre or second rower - realistically we may not be able to secure the very best for both positions but its time we at least had a crack!

Give me Pauli Pauli and James Roberts and I'd be the happiest fan in the world.

Have got a massive feeling that Pauli will end up here, Mole is also reporting that we are front runners for his signature. He and Sironen would be an absolute cracker backrow, with Salesi and Liolevave coming off the bench.

only seen a little of both these players but was impressed, the JENNINGS brothers from penrith, they are way down the pecking order at penrith but both look good both are fast and good defenders and would come cheap.

Pauli will also be playing alongside his former juniors teammate, .Wests Tigers player Mitchell Moses. “I used to play with Mitch Moses growing up, so it’s nice to play with some of the boys that I know, which will be good,” he said.

Easy to please mate?

It's more than just the players, although they are both class (or will be in Pauli's case) and address large areas of need. It reinforces the change in methodology from recruitment, targeting players who can grow with the current core of Tedesco/Brooks/Moses/Woods. It beats signing guys like Beau Scott and Braith Anasta, and to a lesser extent Dene Halatau, players who don't offer much positive play for the dollars they cost and the leadership/winning experience they give is negligible. We've seen it with Taupau, Austin and Naiquama in recent years who have been good contributors for the club. Nonetheless, I feel as if we need one

Yep. Moses played some juniors for Parra.

Hope they both play firsts for WT.
