They all are mate. Until teams see them get exposed to their tricks and then start to plan their coaching to combatant them. That’s why 2nd year syndrome is a thing.

This guy looks cut above the rest. He’s no Moses

I saw him, good pass and on the ball well. First choice backup half for sure, If not on the bench. The fact they didn’t play him at all in NSW cup makes me think that he will be used as a utility, with Lam going into dummy half.

Not sure about that Lam was very good. Started most of their line breaks and contributed to some decent tries. Was the best half for the roosters. Don’t see Hutchinson getting much time and Keighran only played as a dummy half/middle forward.
I see what you mean re looking like Joey Johns, but the raiders were fielding a second string team by the time Walker came on. Those long cross field passes will be eaten up by first grade centres.

Tommy Talau seems to be the forgotten man on this forum.

Only 20 years old and 8 tries from 13 games in his debut season.

A season under his belt will do him a world of good in terms of confidence and experience.

The challenge I have with Tommy is where will he play?

He needs to find his position and really drive selection in it. He isn’t a winger and hasn’t owned the center spot. Kids his age are stepping into the top grade and owning those positions. He needs to step up and do the same. He is a very talented player but risk is he gets pushed into the utility mould.
