Of course you can take food, no cans or alcohol .
Only trouble is she has to take enough for 20000 of us.
We 're one big happy family
You can't sit there with a packed lunch and eat in front of us.

What's on the menu,
Hope it's hot food…!

Hi black and white tiger. thanks heaps for the info. ha ha i'll ask the mrs but i dont think she would be in it. oh and by the way SHARK is on the menu lol. thanks again. To all forum members thanks too this site is great. see you all sunday. cheers, clay.

When I read this I had no idea of the answer, I reckon I've been to several hundred games, but never packed a feed, given the price at some grounds I wonder how much money I could have saved….at grass roots footy when I can grab a steak sandwich, there is no way I'd bring lunch, but at telstra stadium or SFS when the kiosk staff should be wearing balaclavas I wish I had packed a lunch

Hey Goose. im the same i felt like a bit of a clown asking as i have always just grabbed a feed at the ground. i am not worried about the coin involved i am just trying to involve the mrs more i have brought her a membership and she assures me whe will even wear a tigers jersey so if i have to pack a picnic as the pay off i am more than happy with that ha ha.

Welcome to the forum, Clay. Always good to have new Tiger fans onboard.

Yeah I used to buy food at the ground years ago, but hardly ever do now. It's like the cinemas - the exact same food you could buy elsewhere for a moderate price is ridiculously over-priced in these places. Should be a law against this rip off, but until there is, I'll keep packing the sandwiches, fruit, chips, chocolate, tea, coffee, biscuits, water and whatever else I can think of.

Don't think I could ever contemplate frankfurts in a thermos, though

hi flippedy  thanks for the welcome. ill defintaly have the sandwiches packed this weekend anyway. ha ha not sure the cup of tea after u eat the dogs would go down too well either (jj) i agree it is over priced but if im at leichardt oval watching the tigers then life is pretty good. so no complaints from me

Bringing your own food is a must, paying $8.50 for a piece of crumbed chicken fat on a stale roll and $6.00 for a can of piss just doesn't sit right with me!

Anything bar cans and glass bottles can be taken into the ground I believe? Even then, the bag checks are pretty lenient, you could probably sneak a few soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in if you wanted to clay.

Agree that taking your own food in is a must. Food always outrageously overpriced and not particularly healthy either. I'll certainly be packing my own food on Sunday.

Welcome Clay, there is no problems bring food into the ground, as others have said, no glass bottles or can though. There are bag checks with the odd comical comment about the goodies I take in but it's all part of the fun.

I've brought in chips + a 1.25 coke (with a splash of bourbon) and they idn't have a problem with the bag search.

Congrats on your input dude.. you are without doubt the coolest guy on this forum.. well done ;P
