Brooks and Moses - Not our Fault

When Brookes was pushed over like a doll last game the commentator did state that was due to Brookes trying to take him up high to prevent an offload - well he at least had a go.

I know the old adage is can't run without legs, but seriously. Brooks was never making that tackle based on the size difference. No matter where he tried to wrap his arms around

Very harsh you lot. Never heard either blame anyone for their form nor have I heard them compare themselves to anyone- the media and ex footy commentators are responsible for that. It was the coach who blamed RF for stifling their ability to attack, the same JT who stifled them originally with Taylor ball.
I have no clue what they are asking for in their next contract but again the club has the power to not agree and send them packing.
Considering the rabble of a club we have been the average quality of coaching (being kind) and a squad with glaring deficiencies of which they can be included their induction to FG has been hardly ideal.
I use to think it was essential to keep them but I am almost convinced now it would be better for both and the club to let them go.

Everyone in this team (or most of the players) anyway, should be on a lower wage, and paid an incentive if they play well or win a match.

Maybe the halves didn't ask for Farah to be moved on.

But the personal bad performances on the field are very much their fault.

I'm not yet convinced both should be punted. I'm not sure in fact if either should. However, they are nowhere near the mark as elite first graders demanding anywhere near $750 or $800K a year! They both need a dramatic attitude adjustment in their performance on the field and their market value.
I wouldn't be rushing to sign either of them just yet. Certainly the priorities should be Tedesco, Naufauluma and Woods. The others can wait until the season is a little older and they have had a chance to show their worth under a new coach.
If in the meantime they accept offers from elsewhere - so be it. No great loss at this stage.
Either way, this club is in a stronger bargaining position - there are a heap of players coming on to the market at season's end, we should be cashed up, and we will have a new coach who hopefully, players will want to play under.
Interesting times.

We would be mad to sign them yet. Let them embarrass themselves throughout the season to a lower pay grade first.

No other team will take them as a pair, let's face it. We should be controlling them.

Don't you people know that they are 2 of the Big 4!!! Show some respect

Honestly, other teams must get a real giggle out of this whole big 4 thing. I imagine it would make great sledging material on the field - "oh look there's Brooks one of the most elite players in the NRL - I think I'll just run over the top of him and put him on his arse"

perhaps they should be paid on a performance based agreement.

if you want 750,000 a year, create 12 tries in the next six weeks- sliding down to base salary .

woods and teddy are worth whatever they are happy with.both are soo players and stars of the game.

both brooks and moses are scapegoats for the miserable performance of the forwards this year
and continual media hype over the past three years.

perform or else would be my edict to both players.

Not sure I'd say worst, but definitely bottom 4 pairings and certainly not where we expected them to be now in say, 2014.

But who is there to replace them, or put heat on them if they aren't up to it?

Te Maire Martin; Blake Austin…duh! Oh wait...

cynic!

Being cynical creates motivation to overcome it.
If you aren't cynical then you're comfortable with the status quo.

Being cynical creates the motivation to overcome it? Sounds like a perpetual loop to me!!

I would've thought a cynic would be anything but comfortable with the status quo.

The Tigers are being snookered by Moses to sign all four and pay top dollar. It's a real shame as they may have to let all 4 go and start again. I'd rather not have Teddy and Woods if you have to pay top dollar for Brooks and Moses also its cap management 101.

I would increase my offer to Teddy and it would be take it or leave it and withdraw the other 3.

Life is a perpetual loop.
Sun and moon and stars are all on perpetual loop cycles.
History is a loop that keeps repeating.

If you become cynical, you motivate yourself to be non cynical until you become cynical again.
Maybe a little outside most people's understanding but I'm sure you get what I'm saying seeing you actually replied with a good question.
Kudos.

Ha ha…Moses is definitely the "jerk kid"!!
I thought Jt was the one knocked over.
It's not that recent, so I think "white tip" is Simona...
Brown one must be Austin because even though he did nothing wrong Moses just leap frogged him!
