OFFICIAL Bryce Gibbs [Discussion]

I will not praise him.

Only because every time I have he goes terribly the next game.

So he was crap :slight_smile:
 
Ive got to say that Bryce Gibbs is a real Tim Sheens success storey. As Ive said before it was just a couple of years ago when a young kid called Bryce Gibbs decided he was going to make a name for himself by taking on The Ogre at Homebush only to get himself all messed up and KO'd. Did anyone notice his defensive performance in the 08 city v country ,simply breathtaking, then three days later he backs up and as Payten does his hammy earley on against the Broncs he steps up with an even more inspired effort. Not possible if Sheens gave up on him. He is still a work in progress but for mine he always would feature in my forward pack.
 
Bryce owes the club good performances. They stood by him through his crap and when he was not playing anything that could be considered good football
 
This has been by far and away his best season to date and he seems be finally maturing as a footballer. He is now averaging over 100 metres per game for this season and if he keeps denting the line like he did last night, then the Tigers are going to have some decent go forward about them when KG hits his straps again. Now if only we could get Laurie to pull his finger out and follow suit…
 
I'm guessing this also has a lot to do with him maturing as a person.
& that that may have something to do with his 'partner in crime' being away for the year.
If Liam does come back next year (which I hope he does) I doubt very much Gibbs will go back to his old ways. I think he's learnt a lot this year. Most of it off the field.
 
The fool will get suspended for that. His penalty when the Eels were getting a roll on I can understand, but Burt was over the line and there was no need for the knees.
 
ive just never liked gibbs. above all he is a really selfish player. that sort of rubbish just lets down the whole side.

To all the experts who said he "gives these penalties on purpose","you're just being personal",his "penalties HELP US"…well he REALLY helped us this time - we had an 8 point lead and he fixed that problem for us!

Then two minutes later he is laying all over the play the ball AGAIN and nearly gives away another penalty!

I am one of the ones that complains about Gibbs but the last few weeks I have been coming around because I have begun to recognise his defensive efforts.

This guy is a freaking dope!!! If he's better than any front rower we have in Reserve Grade or Toyota cup then we have major problems. He offers absolutely NOTHING!!!!!! Play Moltzen in the front row, play anyone but not this knuckle head!!!!
