OFFICIAL Bryce Gibbs [Discussion]

[cnx_tigers]

Sure he could have stayed…but how many people would want to after their boss and coach have told them they are not wanted? This is all on Humphreys and Sheens.

Let me see 1 Moltzen 2 Ryan 3 Heighington 4 Fulton

Moltzen actually left in reality. Liam was shoppe around an no one wanted him.

Beau an Highno were gone until some people spoke up.

I.e. everyone actually 'tried' to leave / did leave after the way they were treated. No different to Gibbs.

Some of you fellas are so shallow it's not funny. Gibbs is a local kid who loves the club. Just because he left doesn't mean people should start to make out he's Judas or something. He was effectively shown the door. He's still a Tiger at heart.

[hellman]

loved how Beau put Fifita in his place…."yeah we have two sheds" and Fifita was mostly in the reserve grade shed!!...classic!

I never watch that stupid show but this is gold.

Beau has gone from a player who was killing me to proving me an absolute moron (won't be the last time) and then he says this.

Double thumbs up twice.

stryker i hope so to so do isix loses in a row season dead in the water floating corpse so yes mate i hope so toocuse if iam not you will be eating the whole pie on youre own

[hellman]

and Tedesco going down early with Sheens disrupting the halves instead of just replacing him with Meaney

I think that this is the main problem. Your solution is probably the straight forward one as well.

This has been compounded by choosing backs on the bench.

Gibbs was shown the door for his off field behaviour and a poor attitude towards his punishments from the tigers.. Gibbs was on 350k a season contract at the tigers making him the highest paid forward at the club.
At the time i thought we were swapping him for a better version… and i still think we have... its just a slow process.

Whoa,
Gibbs was Not shown the door. He was told that if he could find another team to take him on at better money then the Tigers would release him.
Bryce did the better $ thing himself and his family

You are so far off the mark it's not funny. Tiger99 has already explained it.

[Charman]

Last night footy show with the 3 tigers / ex tiger was brilliant. Beau was so passionate with everything he said and it was obvious he is focused. I did not rate gibbs that highly last year, i thought he played "dumb" football as he seemed to give away stupid penalties 3 times a game but after last night i see his value. Why i did not see this last year i do not know but it is rare that blokes are so close these days and it is reflected in the football being played this year.

In a perfect world that would all seem perfect…. go ask gibbs himself.... ask if he would of stayed at the club if welcome on less money and im sure he will respond with ofcourse. While your there ask him why he is filthy with humpy.

[one-eyed-tiger]

Let me put my 2 cents worth. Gibbo is missed by everyone at the club. Now I know the full story and I really don't want false things said. Bryce was told by the club that he could shop around and if he found a better deal from any other club he'd be free to go. Bryce being the person he is took that as he was not wanted. (that'd be the way I would have taken it as well). His manager did then find a better deal with the Sharks and Bryce decided the best thing for him would be to leave for a change. We all supported him.

If you enjoyed the banter on the Footy show, you should tune in to it on twitter. It goes on daily, Particularly between Gibbs and Farah.

An hour after Robbie fired up on M John's fox show, Gibbs tweeted something like - Farah needs to go to a servo and get some coolant then go to maccas for a happy meal. Classic

Gibbs walked out of Humptys office in tears when he was told he was no longer wanted and that he should accept the Sharks offer. A bloke who was denied the chance to be a one club player. A scapegoat for the Blair signing and the retention of Woods and Groat.

You guys can put any spin to defend the heirachy. He was shown the door to the shire.

Evidence please?

I may be wrong, but I thought the Sharks wanted Fifita BEFORE Gibbs and then the Tigers put forward that they can take both. Bryce wasn't their first option, Fifita was. I have watched the Tigers since their inception and for many years, Bryce Gibbs was a frustration and a liability. Yes, he got his act together over the last couple of years and he has got a contract at the Sharks based on those years. Good on him.

Why aren't we also hearing criticism of the loss of Dene Halatau to the Dogs? The latest guru coah, Hasler, seems to pick him every week in their squad? I think Halatau offered more quality than Gibbs ever did.

You have to be kidding me?

Halatau is one of the most one dimensional players I have ever seen.
