Bryce Gibbs in 2010

ok…so we are saying that Gibbs is on par with Burgess (one an internationally reknown up and coming 20 year old) and Gibbs isn't even one of the top TIGERS players!!!!! Even if Gibbs lifts 1000% that would be great for our team, but it won't put him in the same tier as players like Burgess.

Slow down tiger3 - no one on here has said Gibbs is as good as Burgess - most of the posts are along the lines of Gibbs beginning to live up to the potential that everyone expected. As for Burgess - great footballer - wish we had made a bigger play for him however it will be interesting to see if he can perform week in week out at NRL level

If you get your attack in order the defence will take care of itsGelf….?

I thought it was if you get your defence in order, your attack will take care of itself???

If only peopel learnt to read.

Someone mentioned Burgess was the benchmark Gibbs has to aim to.

That gets twisted into Gibbs is as good as burgess…learn to read tiger3

I thought Bryce went pretty good last year. His defence is normally very good. I thought his hitups improved last year. He might not be worldclass but so what. Aslong as he does his job well consistantly that's all that matters.

I'll learn to read when you learn to spell / type champ. :unamused:
I understand exactly what was being implied in the post I responded to - and I still say that Gibbs needs to try to get to the top of the Tigers heap (which he has failed to do year after year) and the NRL class of a top forward before he even thinks of aspiring to the likes of Sam Burgess.

Gibbs needs to step up to the mark, and that benchmark is Sam Burgess.

If you cant see the difference btween the original post and your reply - both in blue - well all I can deduce is you cannot read - youre way off.

OK I'll keep it simple…Bryce Gibbs needs to step up to the bench mark of Heino or Ellis before he even thinks about Sam Burgess....the top forwards of the NRL need to step up to the benchmark of Sam Burgess. Gibbs is NOWHERE near that league. I can not put it more simply for you. The End.

Didn't I say before that Gibbs should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Sam Burgess because they are GALAXY'S apart??? Before Gibbs even contemplates the existence of Sam Burgess, he should get his sh*t together and try to come at least half way up to the standard of players in our own team like Heino and Galloway…let alone our stars like Ellis, Farah and Benji (the last three would take intelligence and self discipline). Some players have it and some don't - Gibbs,at best, is a plodder, so let's forget someone like Burgess in this life time and try to just be a good solid team man. Gibbs doesn't even dominate our team, let alone the NRL and international players. What is so hard to get about that???

I think Gibbs is improving each season, you are right in the fact that he wont be the same player Burgess is but by the same token he is a difernt player, if he plays well again this season and keeps improving he could well suprise you. Gibbs is maturing as a player and really improving each match lets see how he goes with Folkes on the training staff now. Have a little faith tiger3

Yeah Fitzy spent his entire stint tackling forwards in the middle of the park holding them out to minimal points. He and Gibbs both lead from up front and laid the foundation and clearly paved a path for the youngsters.

So now it is Defence in Order the Attack will take care of itself..Hasn't it been the Wests Attack that's been lacking the past 4 years…

I finding it hard to keep up...

Who tackled them in the 2nd half when the Cowgirls scored 0 points.......

Bryce Gibbs is suspended for the next 2 games. He will not be considered for the next 2 trial games.

Sorry fellas, there's having faith and then there is being a mug…not a good way to start the season (even though it is a carry over)...case closed. :brick:
