Wow.

He should have signed for another team every year he has been at the tigers the way he is playing.

Takes the dirty hit-ups, does the hard low tackles, works hard and hass less penalties than ever. Can honestly say for once that I will be sad to see him leave.

Gibbs has been playing pretty well for about two seasons now really. He is one of if not the best defensive prop in the game - his tackling technique is second to none.

His hit-ups thought have defenitely gone up a notch the last month though.

I was disappointed the moment it was announced he was gone, but you can't keep them all.

he's playing out of his skin - i feel sorry for him a little knowing that he is going to cronulla - prefer it be a better team where he can play semi football. Cronulla seems a backward step. Hope i'm wrong. Will Blair ever be a great wests tiger (in spirit that is) as bryce gibbs is.

I think in the end as T Rex pointed out to me there was starting to get too many issues with his knees and that was starting to become an issue at the time when the Tigers were weighing up their options
But he is playing better than ever ,almost as if he is trying to prove a point
I think you will find that the whole team has made a pact to send all the departing players out on a high note

Wouldnt it be good if all Footballers were on Performance Based Contracts like most other people… They could make 50% of your contract as a base Salary and the remainder based on a win loss ratio. Win 50% of your games, you get 75% of your contract value.

oh... Player managers wouldnt go for that would they?!

I wonder if his contract was said and done before Payto announced his retirement…
I'd hate to think that it was a possibilty to keep Gibbsy?
He is currently in Career best form, And not the penalty machine he used to be.
I LOVE GIBBSY!!

He sets the standard for the defensive line speed when on song like at present, but hard calls have to be made and you have to be looking at three years down the track all the time and you also have to look what you have in the cupboard as far as depth goes and front row was a area we had plenty of options with some real prospects coming through the system.

Although I rate Gibbs very highly, Iam easy with the call to let him go and I do feel for him, he will not have a easy gig at the Sharks

To be honest i think we had the money to keep Bryce & a couple of things happened which changed there minds, one was maybe they wanted to break up the mates groups & the other might of been the injury concerns with his knees. But i must admit i am sorry to see him go as he is a wests tigers man through & through.

Any chance we can get him to back out of his sharks deal?
I at least hope we see him return one day
