Thought you guys would be interested that it appears the Eagles recently tried to have a crack at gibbs…

his status update at the time was "how am i suppose to fly like a eagle when im flying with pigeons........... psychos"
when asked by someone if hasler offered him a deal he stated " correct "

just thought some of you guys would like to know.

Manly are playing it very smart if they made an offer to Gibbs. Think about it Wests Tigers have developed him since his junior days and if you can buy a player coming into his prime at a decent price than you are laughing

you make a good point smeg. in my opinion last year his playing style matured greatly as his tackling technique improved greatly and he start to lose the nickname "bryce gibbs away a penalty". though id say he is a loyal tiger half the reason for him staying would be he just got back in touch with his boyfriend and doesnt want to lose him again.

Gibbs defense is great ,you often see him make 28 -35 tackles and miss 1-2

why would teams not want that??? yes he does some dumb things but he will grow out of it
remember most props dont peak till there mid-late 20s

it didn't take long for something like this to appear. :laughing:
expect more of this alot during the season, am looking more forward to their on field performances.

Gibbs needs a big year in 2010.

Metres wise in 2009 he went pretty good. He averaged more time on the field than all other props which would mean he would be more tired.

In 2009 Skando was our best front rower metre eater per game. He smashed everyone in our club. **But** he had much less minutes on the field than all others which would mean he was fresher to make more metres.

Skandalis 121.7 metres per game (8th best in the NRL) @ 38.7 minutes per game
Galloway 109.2 metres per game (18th best in the NRL) @ 45.8 minutes per game
Gibbs 102.3 metres per game (26th best in the NRL) @ **53.8 minutes per game**
Payten 80.8 metres per game (53rd best in the NRL) @ 49.3 minutes per game
