Bryce gone for the season

He's recovered very quickly in the past when it looked like he was out for a spell. Let's hope he's back for the finals.

i really hope he will be ok as he has been a great defender for us all year. at times i dont think people notice the work he does. i for 1 watch him closely in most games and some of the tackles he makes are awesome. he hits hard and really cuts the legs from under some big boppers to stop the go forward so he would be a huge loss IMO

His cleanup work in defense is unbelieveable sometimes.

Often our line will be broken and coming across in cover to make a great tackle is Gibbs.

Prop Bryce Gibbs' injury kneecaps Wests Tigers' NRL finals surge Tyson Otto From: The Daily Telegraph August 17, 2010 12:26PM \

Kneecapped … Wests Tigers prop Bryce Gibbs announced on Twitter that he fractured his knee cap in the big win over Penrith. Source: The Daily Telegraph
THE Tigers' top four charge has suffered a setback with workhorse prop Bryce Gibbs suffering a fractured knee cap.
Gibbs had an MRI scan on a swollen knee on Monday after being forced from the field in the first half against the Tigers on Sunday.
The 25-year-old is hopeful of returning as early as round 26 after initial fears that his season was all but over.
Gibbs announced on social media platform Twitter this morning that he faces a race against the clock to be fit for the Tigers' first finals campaign since 2005.

"Got a fractured knee cap, trying to be back by last round,'' he posted.
"Need to work hard.''
The Wests Tigers medical team has not yet announced the full extent of the injury.

I hope it is a gee up from Gibbs and they are made to look like absolute clueless idiots.

It's a bit much the Tele calling it an "EXCLUSIVE" when they took it off Gibbs' twitter. It's not like one of their "journos" didn't any actual investigating or research. If anyone can claim an exclusive its the WTF!!!

Tigers lose Gibbs for three weeks
By David Beniuk and Ben Horne AAP Tue, 17 Aug 2010 19:43:32
>
The Wests Tigers are desperately hoping they won't be without two key props for Sunday's massive NRL clash with Parramatta.
>
The Tigers have lost Bryce Gibbs to a knee injury which will sideline him for up to three weeks, while Keith Galloway is no certainty to play at Parramatta Stadium as he recovers from concussion.
>
"(Gibbs) doesn't miss many games but his work rate will be missed," Tigers coach Tim Sheens said.
>
"His defence has been very, very good, as good as anyone in the comp I think."
>
Sheens was hopeful Galloway, who was named on Tuesday, will make it back.
>
"We're hoping so, but protocols have to be followed and we'll just have to wait and see," he said.
>
Todd Payten has been named to partner Galloway in the front row with two-try hero Andrew Fifita and veteran John Skandalis on the bench.
>
"Andrew had a good game, backing up will be the issue," Sheens said of Fifita's performance in the 43-18 thrashing of Penrith last Sunday.
>
"A bit of publicity can be good or it can be bad, so we'll see how he handles it but I was happy with his contribution, albeit you've got to remember it was off the bench and it was a small spell.
>
"He's only a young front-rower just out of (under) 20s so we're not expecting him to carry the side."
>
Parramatta half Daniel Mortimer, who was rested for last Friday's win over Brisbane, is missing from an Eels side needing a victory to keep their finals hopes alive.
