I really find this signing baffling.
While he has been a great player in the past, I really feel his time has come. I know he's got the achilles problem….but watching the Knights, he cant run, he cant open up...many times the quick scoot is on and he'll go 5m before offloading where a good hooker would make 15, 20m or more.
I might be wrong but I think it may be 2 years too long fro bedsy

Yeah, I don't know what Buderus is trying to prove by playing on. He's already achieved so much in the game - maybe he's after one more Premiership, though he might be waiting a while playing for the Knights :laughing:

He was finished BEFORE he went to England…...............and I have friends who are associated with the Leeds club who said he was very poor over there.

Absolute joke that Stuart and Fulton had him guaranteed a NSW jersey ahead of Robbie.

With this their is some clear winners and losers

Losers = the knights

Winners = the other 15 clubs

This guy is way way past his best ….. Can not believe they let Degoise go for this bloke

He was playing well before he got injured. I imagine they let De Gois go to acommodate Boyd and Snowden, they signed Buderus because he's cheap but good bang for the buck. It could have been a good trade-off, but it hasn't worked out that way. They actually have a pretty good team, and a brilliant coach, just no chemistry.

Degoise and Buderus would be getting the same money , Degoise is earning it .

No doubt DeGois > Buderus based on this season.
Of course Buderus is somewhat a legend but he's been pretty weak this year pre-injury.

Wayne Bennet is signing who he wants, so eventually… After he's off-loaded all the dead-wood and players he doesn't want... He will have his 3rd premiership winning team, here in Newcastle.

Dare say Buderus wants to be a part of that.
Wayne Bennet doesn't mind having an older hooker with a replacement on the bench or vice versa.
(Nathan Fien, Dean Young)

Letting De Gois go ranks as one of the worst decisions of the yr given his form so far

I reckon Cronulla letting De Gois go to newcastle for Corey Hughes in the first place was even worse than that!
