Buderus Soft

Buderus got a twinge in his heel and pulled out of city country , he would never miss a club game for injury like that .

Farah is battling a concussion and insists he will play , and says it will take big things for him to miss this game .

Is Buderus soft , does he lack passion for representative footy …..... His actions speak loud .He should take a look at Robbie Farah.......

It's definitely not a great look for him, i don't think he actually has an injury but him & Wayne don't wanna risk injury especially when everyone knows how Bedsy plays at rep footy, he doesn't need to prove himself really.

City v Country should be for players that haven't played Origin before. Too bad this is it's last year.

I totally understand Buderus pulling out of this game. When you have yoru state coach telling you that he wants you for Origin, the only thing you can gain from playing City/Country is an injury that could jeopardize everything. Good call on his part for pulling out.

He got an injury from wearing heels?
I heard his knickers were a bit tight & it stopped the circulation to his heart strings

Cooper and Lyon have been pulling the same stunt for years…

In Bedsy's case, he's getting on and self preservation from a mickey mouse rep game is a smart move. I thought NSW supporters would laud the move as it means he's more likely to take the Blues guernsey off Ennis.

Can't agree with you here CB.
If he's not hurt (and everyone knows he's not) he should be forced to play - what makes him think he is superior to everyone else?
And I for one don't think his form has been that special that he should waltz straight back into a Blues jumper.

he was a legend befroe he went to ESL not hes a little tired but him taking it off eniis is good enough for me… ennis has done sweet FA since wearing the blues jumper....

His reason for pulling out is essentially the same as big Keithy.

Both could mos tlikely play in the game if required but would be unable to train for the majority of the week.

I don't have an issue with that part of it though you would think that if the condition is still a problem neither would be picked for Origin.

Feel for Robbie though, he is on a hiding to nothing and still playing after a pretty bad knock because he is so keen to prove himself

Buderus is a pretentious spoilt little sh-t
The more I think about this, if Farah has a blinder he should be there

Smeg - the only reason Buderus pulled out is because Stuart has all but guaranteed him a spot and Uncle Wayne told him he wasn't allowed out to play.

My point about , Buderus is he clearly lacks passion…..

The value of the game is what it is ,

Despite the low value of the game , i would still expect a pro footballer to maintain some sort of enthusiasm if not passion.

FWIW CK, I couldn't care less who wears the Blues jumper because they're looking down the barrell at 7 straight

My point is if why the hell would you risk yourself in a mickey mouse game when you know you're in with a shot to represent NSW? In any case, as I said Lyon and Cooper have picked and chosen whenever they wanted to do rep duty, so why should anyone else come under fire when the precedent has been set?

As it is, it looks as though this is the last time CvC is going to be played anyway so it won't happen in future.

Bedsy is one of the most passionate & humblest guys you'll ever meet. There is no way he thinks he's better than everyone else, why should he play if he is already in & would risk injury.

Saying that though, will be a great matchup between Hinchcliffe & Farah in City v Country, one of them might snag a bench spot.

Why should anybody play and risk injury?
If he is passionate and wants to PROVE he's the best - take it on the park .

If he cops a long term injury, it will probably be curtains on his career. He obviously doesn't want to risk it in a rep game that means next to nothing when it comes to origin selection.

This whole Buderus for Origin is too funny. If ever there was to be a perfect example of a player being picked on reputation it will be Buderus if he is to be picked. What has he done so far this year? he can't even get through 80 minutes with the Knights who have been extremly average so far, and even when he has been on the field he hasn't done anything to stand out.

since when did bennett say he cant play? its speculation

buderus is old and he doesnt need to prove himself in city country. he has been the best hooker this year (de gois isnt far behind)… farah hasnt been in good enough form to warrant origin selection anyway.

you may call it soft but i call it smart.

maybe not spot on 80 minutes everyweek, but with a utility on the bench like gidley i wouldnt expect our hooker to play 80 minutes anyway.

77 mins vs dragons
69 mins vs eels
66 mins vs storm
73 mins vs bulldogs
60 mins vs broncos
80 mins vs sharks
70 mins vs dragons

he gets out of dummy half fast and picks the right spots (better than farah)… he has been a machine in defence... he's part of the old newcastle boys group with andrew johns and cheif... he knows the game and has that leadership and direction nsw need. im looking forward to seeing him in the light blue again this year

Bennett said he wouldn't be playing straight after the Saints game - said he didn't have to prove anything
Who made Bennett the selector?
He hasn't played better than any other hooker this year - still throwing forward passes from dummy half ( and getting penalised) and still throwing those stupid no look passes that rarely find anybody.
Even the head of the CRL blamed Bennett.
One thing you're right about - he's old .
And past it!
