Just watching NRL 360. Anasta keeps saying how dogs will be easy top 8, prob top 4 next year. I’m not sure how confident you can be with the comp being so close?

If their defence is on point again it’s a fair bet though

They have set expectations and have improved year on year thats why.

It will depend on the draw.

The 4 spine positions will be key - if they go on youth which they have been moving towards with a new fullback, Woods/Galvin/Haywood I don’t see them being as consistent to start the year as they were this year & will struggle.

They lost all momentum back end of this year which also isn’t normally a good lead into the new pre season.

Anasta is usually pretty diplomatic, check out his most recent btfu podcast and fast forward to the section on the dogs and gus - starts around the 14-15 minute mark. He's quite brutal.

I think his suggestion of top 4 is to counter what he is saying about the way the dogs handled the galvin situation, otherwise he'd get the pile on from the club and fans... he is after all still a doggies fan.
