Bulletproof? How come Foxsports suddenly love us?

They're just talking us up so they can say what a train wreck of a team we are if we don't produce the goods.

We make an easy target of ourselves.

This year is, according to the Chinese lunar calendar, the year of Water Tiger😛ray:

Water Tigers go better in La Niña

I think that the trick card is Madge. Will he be more understanding, inspirational and encouraging to his players? A slight change in his demeanor especially during his half time addresses could be very significant.

Are you implying the constant f bombs aren’t working? ??

100% I am.

I don’t really think it’s that balanced at all..Forward squad is OK.. backs there are too many unknowns..could surprise..

It’s academic anyway .. bar Rorters and Storm who are proven missing players you take 3 to 5 starters out of any other teams and they struggle.. hell even Wests Tigers beat the Premiers second stringers last year

Yea and i think thats what they are getting at - there are a lot of teams who are skating on thin ice re injuries and covid. What they are saying is there are only a few teams who can field an experienced side ( not necessarily a winning side ) if worse comes to worse.

Yeah but all our squad are mediocre so we have good balance and depth as whoever comes in can achieve what the player who is out did

Hot tip: they don't love us. They're using us as click bait to get people talking. **Just like ranking Brooks and Hastings as the 8th best halves combo in the competition lol**

They’re probably not far off the mark tho

Quality of halves in the NRL at present is at an all time low. That’s why we’ve seen an influx of coaches trying to turn fullbacks into 5/8’s (Ponga and Brimson come to mind)

>Nope. The 8th ranking is inaccurate.

Have you seen the list?

It smells.

There is about 2-3 top quality halves in the game at the moment, followed by average to middle of the road

Lets see:
DCE
Adam Reynolds
Jehrome Hugues (melbourne).
Nathan Cleary

Probably close to top quality/will get you to the finals:
Sam Walker (roosters)
Shawn Johnston (warriors).
Mitchel Moses

More middling
Ben Hunt
Luke Brooks
Anthony Milford, Whom I will be really interested to see how he goes working with Andrew Johns at Newcastle.
Chad Townsend
Jamal Fogarty

I disagree, I think there are 7 top quality halves out there.

Depends how you define top quality I guess
The cupboard is extremely bare when you compare it to 10-15 years ago though.

I would say the first 4 you mentioned are genuine playmakers you can build a side around and potentially win a premiership (as they all have)

The ones below them lack consistency/killer instinct
