I know this is just off the back of 1 or 2 bad games but right now I would be happy to say goodbye to;

Jordan Rankin - Absolutely disgraceful tonight, with every run he lost us about 5
metres.

Kevin Niaqama - He showed an absolute lack of any defenceive reads and would easily
Say goodbye to him this year.

David Nofoluma - Had no strength in hitting the ball up and the right edge's defence
was non existent.

Luke Brooks - Had zero creativity through out the game, it even got to the stage when
Joey and Sterlo were looking for answers to his one dimentional game.

Curtis Sironen - Had nothing hit the ball up about 5 times during the whole game and
was one the the main reasons that the forwards apart from woodsy had
no go forward.

I would like to know what your thoughts are guys..
 
I agree with your assessments…however id keep Rankin just for now and try him in the halves. He has been unfairly treated by the coaching staff, playing way out of position all year. Give him a fair dinkum crack before tossing him away.
Id let him take either Moses or Brooks's spots. Both are useless
 
Well you wpuld think Siro would have had a huge piint to prove considering he was supposedto be dropped, but no.

Rankin isnt a winger, cant judge him. Actually want to see hom playing 5/8 in a Michael Morgan type role.

Brooks does have to go to State Cup.

I want to see Nofo with a good defensive centre before i axe him.

Kev should move to fullabck while teddy is out.
 
I would not write Rankin off. He gives his all & is probably better at fullback or in the halves.

Kev's defence has been terrible for weeks now. Needs a rest and could be replaced by MCK or Peni.

Siro has had a lot of quiet games. Compare his involvement to Cartwright/Peachey.

Brooks could do with a spell.
 
Rankin - Its been said time and time again that he's playing out of position. He's not a winger, and these days its a specialist position, and he's not a specialist.

Kev - I find that he's very much sizzle without the steak. Bit of a down hill skier. Tends to really expose himself when it comes to the one per centers

Noffa - Been absolutely abysmal this yr. Has regressed so much it's scary. Needs some time in ISP.

Brooks - Defence is not up to first grade standard. Would not shed a tear if he leaves. If he thinks he can command 800k though, then good luck with that. This 2 rookie halves experiment has failed miserably. One has to go, and be replaced with a half who can mentor the one we keep. And the one we would keep is Moses. It's not even a contest. Moses can be great if he had a 200 game veteran as his foil.

Siro - Everyone knows my thoughts on Siro. I'm just glad people are finally waking up to him.
 
Agree with your thoughts, I'd try rankin in the halves as the only difference to your post, clearly not a winger.

agree , but u missed 12 other players who are not putting in , now before someone jumps on me, that effort shows me what a badley coached side they are. no speed in the defence line, no talk in the line whos got who just do as u please. attack is, well there aint any. the coach has to fall on his sword NOW, i cant take much more of this crap.

I think we need to start from the top and try snag a top line coach like cleary, des or toovey who can instill some discipline in us and help recruit some half decent players

But of who we definitely need to replace, rankin and sironen. Then Brooks. Also buy another 2nd rower like ET

Brooks back to Reserves

Taylor to Start again went well
Josh on the bench if he's ok
Dean to hooker with Farrah out
Bring back Sue , Drop Sirro
 
Rankin was suppose to cover for Teddy during origin, yet Hunt got the nod for FB.
Rankin should not be playing out of position when Teddy is out of the side.
Everyone has been calling for JAC to get more opportunity and yet we use a secondary option to cover a position that doesn't need covering. We have a winger ready to go.

Kev & Nofo have been poor in defensive reads together.
I would keep Kev as he has been more of a threat in attack, and can tackle when he has his head screwed on. Nofo, while he does a good job with early hit ups, his injuries hasn't helped his cause regarding his lack of speed. He won't be able to outrun and score a try from midfield which you would expect any decent winger to do when given the space & opportunity.

Both wingers need replacing.
Brooks a rest.
Rankin @ preferred position or dropped altogether.
 
Plenty of issues in the team at the moment. I'd be tempted to tell both Brooks and Moses to look elsewhere next year except we have no one to replace them with. Naiqama needs to have a good hard look at himself and Nofo also needs a reality check.

Fixed in bold. These guys just aren't good.
 
When I first saw Brooks in schoolboy comps I thought Wow this kid is a talent - u20s cemented this opinion then first NRL game against Saints and star in the making. Since then I have been waiting, waiting, waiting. He doesn't have it - he is not an NRL halfback. He needs to go back to reserves for the rest of the year and learn how to play football against men.
