Call me crazy but....

Tacky

I think we can survive without Tedesco and Woods. If the rumors are true and Woods and Tedesco end up leaving the club, I think we can get back to playing finals football without them. Yeah, we might struggle for a bit but, I think we could build up a good team centering around Brooks.

Think about premiership teams of the past, there weren't many with a 'big four.' Manly had Stewart, DCE and Foran but there is talent like that off-contract at the moment. We could build a premiership team without giving up half the cap to the 'big four.' We'll also have a lot of salary cap to put into to young up and coming players. That's what Penrith did. We could focus on recruiting instead of developing home grown talent, like Newcastle are doing now, or like Cronulla did.

I don't want Teddy or Woods to leave but, if they do, I don't think it will ruin the club.

Yep. You're crazy.
I disagree vehemently with every single point you made. But I'm not arguing with a crazy person…see you in another thread...

Hahahaha, if Woods and Tedesco leave I don't expect another comp until 2043

Well, then I hope you're religious. Cos we're going to have to start doing some serious praying.

Biggest load of CRAP EVER!!!!!!

Not the thread, but this forum's technical issues.

Melbourne will do fine next year with Smith moving to captain-coach throughout the year, NZ captain being co-captain and Bellamy shifting to consultant. The seem to do it well, with Smith as their crown jewel.

It appears Ivan has found his diamond in the rough named Luke Brooks - remember him from 2012 SG Ball?

I admire your optimism but there is no way we should let Tedesco leave. I don't even want to consider WT without him.

What if:

1\. Kahu/Bird
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Whare
4\. Suli
5\. Faifai Loa
6\. Watson
7\. Brooks
8\. Graham
9\. Mcillwrick
10\. Paulo
11\. McQueen
12\. Aloiai
13\. Taylor

14\. Sue
15\. Seumanufagai
16\. Tolman
17\. Tatola

Also, it's funny how quickly people change their tune. A week ago ago people were saying they wouldn't mind seeing all of the big four going.

As disgraceful as his actions have been as captain, I honestly can't see Woods leaving. Call me a pessimist but I'm starting to prepare for the worst with Tedesco. So we could be looking at recruiting a 6 and 1 next year. Jack Bird and Lolohea would be handy replacements.

Sharkies waited 50 years for their first. Parra are over 30 now.

The loss of Tedesco would be nothing short of catastrophic for the Tigers. 75% of Wests attacking potential gone in one foul swoop.

Just to clarify. I think this talk of Woods and Tedesco leaving is very premature. I think they would at least give Ivan a chance to explain and enact his vision for the club. I was just speculating on the clubs future if that were to eventuate.

I agree re: Tedesco and Woods. Would prefer they stay but if they don't we will have near enough to an extra $2 million in cash to spend. Can certainly pick up something decent as replacements for that money, with perhaps enough spare for a decent centre or winger.
2 players aren't bigger than the club (or shouldn't be) no matter who they are.
If they leave, they leave. Get a few committed, team orientated blokes in their place. Havent looked at the full list of off-contract talent available for 2018 to put any names forward ATM.

A lot of the comments RE: Brooks is that he likes the club and wants to play here.
A lot of the comments about Moses is that he wanted to leave. Well he certainly did, Moses treated football like a business too much (could you tell us before we punt Blake Austin and Te Marie Martin? Hey you want to leave no problem just don't have us sacrifice people who want to be here).

So judge Woods and Tedesco?
Woods - He is pretty happy go lucky, he likes the club but doesn't want large headaches. re-sign him and take pressure off him.

Tedesco? No idea, but more loyal then Moses.
