Campbelltown sports centre of excellence receives Federal Government backing

I'm not sure what future there is at Homebush, in regards to setting up our headquaters. If it were that easy surely Souths and the Dogs would have already done it by now.

idk why there are so many negative comments? apart from the article title which is WRONG, there is some good info, direct quotes and actually makes sense. this article is better than 90% of the crap the leading newspapers dish up tbh.

And the COE out there has been in the works for a while. We were only just talking about it a few weeks ago when good old Darcy put his hand up for one to be built in Leichhardt.

I think everyone is just sick of governments doing nothing to help the Tigers, where as they've given funding to other teams. I can't recall 1 govt initiative that has actually supported the Tigers..

In fact, they've not only not helped us out, but state and local pretty much gift wrapped Balmains destruction.

i honestly wouldnt care about govt helping us out or not. there are way too many other things on their plate than to help a basket case on and off the field. i would be against the govt helping other teams out too.

the sports money should go more towards developing outdoor gyms, promoting a healthier lifestyle, promoting special olympics and disability sports. all these require much more attention and $$$ than helping out a club that doesnt want to help itself.

Little Johnny H threw plenty of money towards the Dragons when he was in power so that they could upgrade Kogarah. Coincidently the little turd-sniffer was also their No 1 ticket holder at the time.
Any Federal pollies WT supporters? If so they will be getting my vote so that we get a few cash handouts coming our clubs way.

The old Premier was in our corner, but that didn't work out too well.

The thread title is the headline of the article.

Which is bogus Murdoch crap. Shouldn't we, as an online community, aim for higher standards than the Telegraph? It's really not too hard considering how low they set the bar.

We don't need to mislead anyone. We have nothing to gain. We're not getting ad revenue based on who opens threads like they do for their articles hence the clickbait titles.

Exactly!! Great summation of an useless post and article.

:roll Tell it like it is LCA!

Shouldn't it read, (alleged to receive Federal Govt backing) ??
As much chance as Jarryd Hayne signing with us and playing this weekend
