Lets see what Clark can do next week. He's never put in 2 good games in a row for us so far. I rate ratu has a much better prospect for us. hits the ball hard and has a good offload, a lot more x factor. We don't need plodder props. People already complain about Eiso, Clark is similar but far less effective.

One thing ive learned to do around here is wait for the right opinion.

Ive never been impressed with Clark. Others are talking him up however.

He looks a dead set plodder and another Ivan Cleary stitch up, if you say Ratu is better i have no doubt its true.

Looks like Maguire is not on the same page as you guys...

Oliver Clark to debut in NRL..good luck young fella

Thats ok mate, ill stand by my comments. Clarke will not change our side one bit. He is a bordeline first grader at this point in time.

>. He just has a simple one dimensional game and a lack of aggression which is the sort of player we already have too many of.

Cowan Epere and Ratu would both make 180m in several games last year and no one was shouting for them to play first grade.

Many players have gone from being average to suddenly finding another gear and kicking on. If Clark can do that then great! We don't really have many other prop prospects coming through the ranks.

To me Ratu is the sort of bench prop the Roosters seem to have in abundance. Players that are cheap and can do a job and provide impact off the bench. IMO that's the sort of player we need to add to first grade.

Im with you on this. yes Clark can and should improve, maybe he is injury free for a change but in no way is he any different to what we already have.

I was unimpressed with his form last year. This year I think I watched him play 4 games and for me his improvement is significant. We may have similar players in our Canterbury team squad that if given the opportunity, may make it in NRL team but one difference ..... they are not in our top 30 numbers.

Dont get me wrong. Good luck to the guy, i hope he got the nod over Packer as Packer is like the others in the team who just dont put in like other NRL clubs players do

I know people that speak very highly of Clark, more so as a person than a footballer.

I am not sure how you can have a niggle that lasts years.

Chris Lawrence and Oliver Clark into 1sts with Clark & Twal starting, MUTs at lock with Eiso to spell him but less often as matulino must earn his wage or my feeling is packer stays.
McQueen must go like WTH is taking so long 🙄

P.s garner needed to start last week to make Chris accountable for his poor game v Titans, we have plenty of options for the row now - is Mcintrye proving to be any good?

Would like one of our young tall wingers or even Dylan smith to get a go with Mbye to 6, Marshall off the bench for spark and Liddle at 9. Fantasy at its finest but with recruitment of genuine NRL players and a sprinkle of speed, agility and talent this time our side gets better and has far more upside than most.

@DieHarder - a little bit of pace into our backs would make a difference wouldn't it. Marshall either starts at 6 or doesn't get a go. Liddle at 9 will help.

I like Madge's idea of Aloiai and Mikaele rotating at 13. It gives us a forward on all game who can dent the line and get us going forward. If Liddle is there it means we can play off the back of that and it will give Brooks and Mbye some chances.

the reserve grade boys have the bye this round yes?

Yep. Rep round for them I believe

@Earl thing is Alooai is out this week - eiso starting - and coach seems to prefer workers to impact at this stage of season or given the roster that we’ve got. Am unsure of how willing benj is to go to the levels that we need him at and if his body will allow him to get thru the next 8 that I’d love to see him play. On his day - adds a lot no question it’s just we need space for players like Garner (smaller minutes but running off brooks until such time as rowdy can finish mentoring him and ride off into the sunset) and MCK coming on to work in and around the tired bodies through the middle perhaps with somebody like a nof to be supporting and also lifting us from being 16th dead last in kick return metres this season (big NO NO any grade). Obviously David would start and possibly put a Mahe on the bench for pure impact - doubtful but would not mind that at all.

Agree with all of what u say and here’s hoping the guys tonight are just professional players..
