Carney and Miles break alcohol bans

I'm not a big Carney fan at all, but look at it like this, he's had 2 alcohol related non-incidents this year (since his DUI), where people have dobbed him in for drinking despite not doing anything wrong (apart from the drinking itself). How many other times has he gone out drinking and not been caught this year? Is it at all possible that the guy has FINALLY learnt how to go out, have some drinks and not go overboard or do anything stupid?

Granted they broke club rules, but beyond that again there is hardly an issue here, fine them, stand them down for a week or so I guess, and move on.

no need to shoot the messenger, Carney just doesn't get it. Had the world at his feet and continues to throw it away.

Shoot the messenger? Unless they did something wrong in the taxi the cab driver is a dog. They give him business, pay him and everything and he repays them by dobbing them into their employers. If there is something else to the story I guess he's okay.

That a bit like saying if he blows .05 next time when he is done for DUI we should show him leniency because he is improving .

His problems were not the fact he drinks, it was the fact that he can't control himself on the drink, and breaks the law when he does. If he gets caugt drink driving (even very low range) or breaking any other laws, it should (and probably will) be curtains on his NRL career. That said the fact he's practically playing chicken with the Roosters (no pun intended) says a lot about his intelligence.

MM all I can say is at least he isn't our problem

I don't think there's anything David gallop can do because he hasn't actually broken any nrl rules or done anything illegal. So the punishment will rest with the roosters and as someone said they'll probably just got a fine and be stood down for a week

I don't think bringing him to the Tigers would help him, he'd probably just do the same thing. If the Roosters were to sack him, which I doubt they will, he might be better off heading to England where he wouldn't be under such scrutiny

He won't get a Visa to work in the UK. No chance. Criminal conviction within the last 12 months. And another within the last 5 years.
