From memory Price was falling, and i think Carney had his fist clenched too, his arm was swinging….so that may come into it, without doubt he makes head contact...the opportunity is the for an easy out for the MRC/Judiciary - grade one not enough points

He will get no weeks. In my opinion this is fair. I am concerned that referees on the field miss this. Still don't like players staying down to get the video ref to look at it but in the current system you have to as the on field referees are blind.

Still think the video ref should be able to say to the on field referees that it is blatant dive and give a penalty against the player for staying down. If this was the case you would only stay down if it was a genuine shot if you knew a penalty could go against you.

Hate to agree but you're right, I'd like to see Carney wiped out for the big one but it won't happen.

Hayne missed a suspension as he is a star of the game , Carney will NOT miss any games .. If it was a Front rower or low profile player this topic would have been valid..
Deep down , if we win tonight i hope he doesnt play the GF but if we (touch wood) couldnt make it i want a full strenghth Chooks to belt the chokers …

remember the outcry when cameron smith was suspended (and rightly so)for the grand final, carney won't have the same happen to him.
roosters will not be able to use carney being suspended if they lose.

Carney's arm was swinging and his fist was clenched...All year that has been a grade 2 careless high tackle....2 games ...1 with an early guilty plea...Consistancy is all I want...

On a side note Carney has overtaken bird as a diving cat....he ranks right up there with Slater now for mine....

No seriously, in the past 2 years, there seems to be more of an emphasis by the NRL to ensure the viewing power is at a maximum.... Carney is the current DM, do you think Nine will allow him to be rubbed out on such a minimal incident? If the player was injured as a result of the action, they would have no choice, but not for that.

Sad realization of the media control over the game...
