@GNR4LIFE said:Its a shame North Sydney Oval has been lost to the game. Best looking ground in Sydney, if not Australia
@Yossarian said:To be fair the weather for most of the Coast games has been pretty dismal. Our game was miserable and it's been even worse for some of the other games. The Mariners are a better indicator - I've got no doubt a CC team would draw decent crowds. Whether there are better candidates for expansion is the question. Perth seems a good fit for a new team so unless someone moves or dies there would no doubt be a 18th team,

They still play nsw cup there.. It is the rabbits home ground, (feeder club). Unless that has changed this year?

@Golden_Boots said:Bears were a massive loss to the game. I don't care if we have 12 clubs in Sydney. A club with so much history like the Bears should always have preference over basket case clubs like NQ and the Gold Coast. Rugby league has been doing a wonderful job of shooting itself in the foot the last 15 years.

Yeah GWS & GC have been brilliant what great 'wisdom'. Port Power are also flat broke. As for the Swans and Lions, well they have been gifted premierships via salary cap concessions and draft picks yet still no-one outside the heartlands of AFL can name or recognise any of their players. Expansion is fine if done correctly. You really think the Gold Coast and Cowboys add more than the Bears?. Cowboys are lucky to get 10 thousand to a game and attract zero interest anywhere else. How many times are the GC gone broke and been rebranded. 4 times?

Wow, 2 new teams in GWS and GC not going well? Surprise, surprise. You're a hard marker.

As for the Bears, they were perrenial cellar dwellers for years and years and only did any good for the last few years in the comp. yeah, I think cowboys and GC do offer more. I don't believe your crowd figures for the cowboys either
