Its a worry that Richo and Benji wanted to iffer big money to Stefano and Galvin
shows how concerned they were of media perception abt “losing” their players, throwing stupid money contracts to try to make them stay even when they’re not all that
probably why they were like cya to tallyn, weren’t even going to bother with the circus of it all

good riddance that they’re gone

That wasn't a legitimate offer.

It was to flush out the bull crap from his management.
Yeh right , and this is exactly how people make out Richo is godlike and some master schemer

Wasn’t a legit offer… pfft bull

- was on graham podcast saying spent weeks getting the deal set up with sponsors and everything

- got emotional with the press release about Galvin not signing which started the mess

Richo is good but he is not playing 4d chess while the rest of us are setting up the chess board

How many on the board over all ? two isn’t a majority … They own 90 percent of the team …were you expecting them to have no one ? Dream on… I can’t believe they have as little control as they do
Your maths are good but your logic is flawed. Imagine you’re on the board and sitting next to you is a fellow board member? Same same right? Nope, he’s not the same as you, he had a hand in hiring the guy who hired you. I could be wrong but I think he has more authority than you do.

I doubt they care less what the wig thinks … they all have a life outside the club..this is more them believing they are helping out and I doubt they would feel indebted to anyone … if their decision making is not appreciated they will likely move on without much of a second thought

Any board I’ve seen works on the basis of one vote for one person..so again two won’t have a majority

I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, but agree you must be on the right track due to your superior knowledge of group dynamics and operational procedures in boards. Thanks Tom.

They being the independent directors … that’s what we are discussing right ?
I’m here to help mate 👍

Been a rough year. So much hope and despair.
It it rough, do you think, because people hoped for better and temporarily saw better?

Because in relative terms it's not particularly different from the last couple of seasons. For example we only won 6 matches in 2024 (2 of those in the last 3 rounds), so 1 more win in 2025 and we've at least equalled that.

Win 2 more matches (7W) and it's the best result since 2021; win 4 more matches (9W) and it's the best result since 2019.

There are 9 matches remaining.

I know what people will say about low expectations etc. but personally I don't think this year is more rough than other years, I personally felt 2022 was really dire with that first spoon and the sacking of Madge, then end of 2023 with the collapse of the Sheens experiment and another spoon.

It's a slow trajectory but it does feel like a slow up, I remain quite confident that Benji can coach if he can get the roster in place. I say this especially because a guy like Madge, he couldn't get the job done at Tigers and it got worse every year, but he's getting some results at Broncos and he was able to win Origin; he also had decent results with the Kiwis and in the ESL. So it's quite evidently not Madge, it's the Tigers rosters. I think Benji has been given the foundations of a better roster than Madge had.
