Change? Confidence? WE HAVE TWO WEEKS!!!

**With 2 weeks off and plenty of training sessions at our disposal:**
It's now time to put Lote at Fullback and play ryan as a winger.
We bought him for that role and I think it is now time to let the big man INTIMIDATE from the back and not the wing.
The more times Tuqiri touches the ball up the middle, then the better our attack will look through the middle.

Ryan has done a pretty decent job at 1, he has played with confidence on most occasions and has DEFENSIVELY been quite solid but he lacks the "instinct" to inject himself into the attack, he is "generally" no where to be seen when the team needs someone running plays off Marshall and Farah. (Slater,Stewart,Hodgo - like???)

I think that Tuqiri would be better suited at playing off the shoulders of Benji and Robbie in attack.
He is a big unit with plenty of pace and some silky hands. He has a tonne of experience and is a little more attack minded than Beau.

1.Tuqiri 2.Ryan 3.Ayshford 4.Lawrence 5.Brown/Fitzy/Daniela/Tuiaki???? 6.Marshall 7\. Lui & 9.Farah

If we can bust through the line up the middle then our wingers become less important (relied on) and kicking from the sidelines would be done a little less often.

I sense that there is a **REAL** confidence issue in the squad at the moment!

Possible Reasons:

*No confidence with the team selections and player positions.
**Pressure of playing Rep footy (for some)
***Attacking plays are too structured - No instinct plays
****Too much pressure to live up to the hype that was around regarding finals/premierships

We need fluidity in Attack, More instinct and natural progression plays than structured pre-meditated moves all the time ( set plays have their place but not for a full 80min)

Your thoughts on this backline re-shuffle?

Triserratops has been thinking….......this could be dangerous!!!

Ryan proved last week he is hopeless in a wing position. He doesn't have enough space to move and he is great runner in space. We don't seem to be working the ball in and around the ruck as much as we have in previous rounds because we seem to kick whenever possible and this is really limiting Ryans attack.

Past that Tuqiri is killing it on the wing, he's running it strong and he and Lawrence have developed a real good understanding, why break it up?

Also, Ryan and Brown / Fitzy / Daniella equals NO points! We effectively have one usefull side of the field… removing Lote would really hurt our ability to put on points!

-------------------

Our attack is lacking fluidity because we are kicking the ball far too often! As soon as the boot comes of the boot, it's a 50-50 chance for either side... I think Farah is taking the wrong option 8 times out of 10... he lucked out in a few games early on in the season, but luck is exactly that and won't last forever...

Can we get a new coach in the next two weeks?

If not, things will remain the same.

Ask Mr Humpheries!!!

I'm with Kaiser, I'd keep Ryan at fullback as opposed to the wing. He got no ball on the wing against the Panthers, made 85 metres for the match. Made 180 yesterday because he can get his hands on the ball a lot more. He ran the decoy for Heighno's try too. Support play is something he needs to work on, but he's adapted to fullback far better than Moltzen IMO.

look last year majority of our tries lawrence - tnt, now its lawrence - lote.. take that away and were a bunch of straws and sticks atm TBH.

keep ryan at fullback, in time he will learn when to inject etc..

i would however have him a week catching bombs.. this year its pretty much what every NRL team are doing now.. get to the 20/30m mark and bomb it if 5th

Taumata was on the bench for Balmain on the weekend so he might be ok to play against Souths. Give him a go in first grade. He has 2 weeks to train before the game against Souths so let him work on some combinations with Benji and Farah. He could play a similar role to what Moltzen did at halfback. I know Sheens says Taumata is more of a running half but he said the same about Moltzen and we did well with Moltzen at halfback.

How true - this constant bombing on the last inside the 30 mtrs is turning me off the game - no matter what the deterrents the NRL come up with teams will still get around it - its boring.

You make tries with kicks 2 points and 1 point if you kick the goal… the team scored againts gets a tap at 20 meter mark to go on the attack.Tries scored from kicks should not be as many points as others.

Does anyone know what has happened to Tame Toupo ! I think that we need to stick with the same team (with the exception of Fitzhenry), there will be improvement over time. Willow you suggest that Beau needs to work on his support play, I think that many in the team need to work on their support play. I believe that confidence is a real issue at present, so lets hope we can come up with a win this weekend (no matter which team is picked) so that confidence will be restored, for everyone !

I'd be sticking with Lote on the wing as he is our best option there by a mile. Beau for the best part has been good for us at fullback and despite the dropped bombs i don't see a need for change there yet.

I'd love to see Tuqiri at fullback.

Ryan has been good and I have no issues with him but Tuqiri would be better.
