Wests Tigers CEO Grant Mayer is considering cancelling 2 of the 4 West Tigers games scheduled for Leichhardt Oval this season and reducing the number of games played at Leichhardt from 2016 onwards.

Leichhardt Council has taken over management of the ground and has offered Wests Tigers an agreement to play 4 games a year at Leichhardt in 2015, with no hiring fee charged.

From each home game played at Leichhardt oval, Wests Tigers will receive all revenue from tickets sales, merchandise sales and corporate hospitality. With no hiring fee, games at Leichhardt Oval should be profitable for Wests Tigers.

Wests Tigers fans have purchased 2015 season tickets including 4 games at Leichhardt.

The Wests Tigers Board will meet on 30th April to decide if the already scheduled games against the Storm and the Panthers will be played at Leichhardt Oval or transferred to another venue. The Wests Tigers Board is made up of 2 representatives of the Magpies and 3 Independent Directors appointed by the NRL.

As fans and members we love footy at Leichhardt Oval, especially on a Sunday afternoon. The team love playing at Leichhardt and we have a great record here. Wests Tigers have won 63% of all games at Leichhardt Oval- much better than at any other of our home grounds.

We, members and fans of the Wests Tigers NRL Club ask the CEO Grant Mayer and Board to honour their commitment to play four games this season in 2015 at Leichhardt Oval.

Cheers. i had a great day at LO up until mid way through the second half. Standing on the hill, all the batter. you cant replace that.

Might be easier to vote this deadwood council out of business than keeping games at Leichhardt. Get rid of them and we stand a chance. But like most councils, they are more interested in pursuing their own agenda than doing what those that elected them want them to do.

It's not actually my petition, I just thought I'd spread the word. Maybe it's not accepting your email address, I dunno.

Even though council has offered the ground to the Tigers and the decision is now in our board's hands?
