You can be happy to be a slave. I am not.

If a totalitarian government says whales are rubbish creatures and must be destroyed…guess what happens? If a totalitarian ruler says "Adolf had it right all along" guess what happens? If these same law makers decree that only dark skinned people are required to work...guess what?

Its a moronic idea.

The world could be like you if it was greatly depopulated and we did not need or rely on others or even consider them much in our survival. If we all had our own 5 or 50 acres we could be quite independent and virtually no necessity for a central govt.. I know that is what you Deep- North Queenslanders despise, I have lived up there.

But the threat of the highly industrialised world would still hang over us - this is what is unfair. Streams we may rely on for fishing could be poisoned by mining. Air could be highly radio-active and we would not have a clue. Decent return (wages) or labour can be sabotaged by overpopulation needing employment.

Are you saying that having international rules is a moronic idea well there would be a lot of INTERNATIONAL problems left unsolved. For example pollution from China drifts over her neighbours who may want to keep virgin air. That is what happened to Chernobyl nuke accident. So we must have international treaties and stick by them.

If you want to prevent dictators internally (Oz or externally) from Germany then nations have to learn that Might is not Right - so we cannot just disengage from the world. There has to be an internationally body where leaders meet and verbally thrash things out - it could evolve to one world govt who knows. If that is what is required to prevent nuke holocausts etc. then so be it - until we de-weaponise.

And what happens to the current ideologies if we establish there are Aliens out there in space? Aliens that are more than single cell organisms.

Does the notion of borders, politics, race and religion get side aside once we relies that the our planet isn't the only one?

Do we as the human race band together?

I dont subscribe to such theories but just throwing out there cause i read something the other day that got me thinking.

I consider outer space the biggest waste of money/effort con job in the history of human existence. If aliens do exist but keep their distance who cares. We have even weaponised space. Space freaks talk about colonising other planets etc. that cost billions and probably impossible when they can't even fix up our own planet. The world's resources belong to everybody for all time - not to be wasted on a few generation's mental and physical escape hatch.

You seem to possess the notion that a one world government would work towards the betterment of humanity. Highly, highly improbable. If you got out of your commune and had a look around youd notice most of this planets elite… political leaders, royal families and the ultra rich are fully corrupted scum. They are power mad and selfish. They would jump at the chance you are suggesting and they would become far worse collectively than any dictatorial system we have seen so far.

Stryker, I won't keep quoting as so lengthy. Now first I have never lived in a commune. I did visit Nimbin 40 years ago exactly and they were needled out at 6AM so I was off never to return in all those years.

Of course many leaders are corrupt because corrupt people are attracted to the power. The UN is far from perfect because it was corrupted at it's inauguration by the nuclear weapon-powered states. The Security Council consists of nations that possess nuke weapons - so that says it all.

But without international treaties more nations or groups become nuclear-weaponised and the world becomes a lot more dangerous place. We have an onerous for future generations to try to rectify the situation.

You can criticise my views I can cop that but you are not providing any long term viable solutions to fix current problems of the obscenity of nuke weapons and how we are destroying the biosphere. As well to the billions of people born into poverty and virtually impossible to correct due to the limitedness of the Earth's resources.

One of my politically-incorrect sisters 50 years ago told a door to door charity collector for international aid that she will only donate for condoms, she does not remember it now - but hell was she half right. a stitch in time saves 9.
