I just watched it. on YouTube. Its about their 2014 Premiership. But it has like hours before it even gets to 2014.

So yes it's long. And it's typically self indulgent in a very South Sydney kind of way. It's well made as a series however, and it was interesting seeing and hearing about Madge as a coach. The game has changed so much since then. There were some huge forwards in the game at that time that wouldn't get a look in today. No wonder we struggled after 2011.

Watching the series really made me feel like no-one in the Rugby League establishment respects our premiership enough. What was accomplished by Tim Sheens from 2003 - 2005 was an act of genius in comparison to what took South's eight years of Millionaire/Celebrity backing and investment.

Does Madge at any stage say,

"Souffs are always in the F*ck'in game."

He doesn't say much actually. Just a lot of clichés in comparison to the other players. I think he's too guarded from his experience on Tales from Tigertown. The most interesting parts are his former players talking about the insane training regimen wondering in retrospect if it was actually making a difference, and his assistants talking about tactics in big games. Ben Teo was really interesting to listen too and seem a much smarter forward than I gave credit too. George Burgess as well.
