They were "in" in the 80's

Not anymore  it's time for them to go from Wests Tigers. If adult men want to watch skimpy girls in short skirts they can go to Kings Cross. They are out of place at a Rugby League in this day and age.

Raiders and Bulldogs have gotten rid of them just recently.

Sabre, they are called the "Senior Cheersquad" and "For auditions the performers are asked to wear a mid-rift tight fitting top with shorts or tights and have their hair and makeup done to performance standard."

it's just a technicality, dancer, cheersquad, cheerleader whatever.

If it means the club is able to save a bit of money then I have no issues with it, if they are in fact paid by the club. I find it hard to imagine that anyone would stop attending games due to the lack of a "dance team."

Maybe I'm getting the 2 around the wrong but I'm sure at one point we had a mixed female and make squad who wore tights and covered up completely.

Either way cheerleaders aren't all that bad. Jennifer Hawkins used to be one for the Knights and the Yellow wiggle used to be one for us. Most cheerleaders are females who sign up for promotional work. Usually with an array of skills such as dancing, performing, singing, acting etc. They'll take most work that comes their way whether it's Cheerleading or working for casinos/nightclubs.

Not a fan.

Even less of a fan of drunken mongoloids clammering over other people to try and get a photo with them as they walk around during a game

Meh I will go against the grain,

I dont find them a vital cog in the machine by any stretch, but I cannot find a fibre in my being that would make me vote in getting rid of them… cannot believe guys went out of their way to post it, lol.

doesn't really bother me to be honest. but some people take offense to anything sexual…. so whatever, won't change much in the grand scheme of things.

My two daughters would miss the cheargirls though.

Personally I find the Souths drummer kids more annoying.

While we are at it perhaps the players are showing too much skin… and those afl boys well disgraceful.

LOL

fair dinkum….

maybe we can have gay marriages at half time instead

people get offended over the slightest thing today...you cant fart

The problem with the men going to Kings Cross in the NRL integrity unit Kul

We can't afford to have any players getting deregistered because they are heading to Maccas after a big one

Seriously if we do the cheerleaders , lets just get younger kids to do it (say Under 10's) to take away your issue with guys watching teenagers dressed in skimpy gear

They could all be in Tigers outfits if you wanted

This is the world of political correctness, where poofters can dance down the street in next to nothing but to have a woman do it mildly is the height of male sexist behaviour. Next we'll be playing Aerial Ping Pong.

U10s?? gee wizz, the club would face soo much #@!* from the media and people in general about oversexualisation of minors if that happened. thats why the club requires you to be 18 to be a cheerleader atm.

Cowboys have young cheerleaders .

That's why I said in Tigers outfits , take away sexual onus

LOL I can't believe straight men would suggest this. What on earth is wrong with hot, healthy, fit women dressing in tight fitting clothes and dancing? I think Kuls username has been hacked by Germaine Greer.
