Wests Tigers can provide the following Chemist Warehouse Injury Report ahead of the club’s second and final NRL trial match against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles this weekend.

Shawn Blore (hand) and Moses Mbye (hamstring) will not feature in Sunday’s trial match after the pair recently picked up injuries.

Blore has successfully undergone surgery to repair a wrist fracture suffered in training and is expected to return between Round 6-8, while Mbye is progressing well from a minor hamstring strain. He is aiming to be available for selection in the club’s season opener against the Canberra Raiders.

Billy Walters also continues to make good progress from his ACL reconstruction with the utility targeting a return to modified team training next month ahead of a planned return to play later in the year.

Saturday’s NRL trial match against the Sydney Roosters saw a successful return to the field for Development Player Reece Hoffman, who was making his return from a leg injury sustained last year.

The news was not as good for NSW Cup forward Billy Stapleton, who suffered a broken jaw during the match. He has since undergone surgery and will begin his recovery to return during the 2021 season.

CHEMIST WAREHOUSE INJURY REPORT
Moses Mbye (hamstring) — Round 1

Shawn Blore (hand) — Round 6-8

Billy Walters (knee) — Indefinite

Wests Tigers young gun Shawn Blore is set to be sidelined for eight weeks with a wrist injury, meaning he won't take the field in the regular season until round six.

It's a blow for the promising 20-year-old who was challenging for a starting spot in the Tigers' second row this season.

Both injuries very concerning.

Was hoping Blore could hit the ground running, he’s going to be behind everyone else fitness wise now just like last year.

So much for Mbye being super fit and injury free. I doubt he plays round 1.

Terrible news for Blore and some may feel Garner gets a reprieve of sorts.

He shouldn't be that far behind everyone really... the fitness part of pre season is over it's all about building combinations now. Hopefully just a slight strain for Mbye and more precautionary leaving him out

Agreed and being a wrist injury, he is still able to work on lower body and cardio (which was his weakness)

Bugger what a shame for Shawn...In a perfect WT world it would been nice to start the NRL season with the full complement of our players, seeing as Madge has stated he won’t know his final 17 until it’s about a month into the comp.

Glad to not see JTJ name on the list. I saw a rumour that he had re-hurt his pec but also seen mentions that these reports were referring to last years injury. REgardless every photo of him has had his shoulder (and pec?) heavily taped.

Gutted about Blore - one I'm most excited about this season.

Would of been hard for him working so hard in pre season and to happen so close to starting. Wonder how it happened not that it matters

Slipped in the shower?

All jokes aside it’s a pretty weird injury. Maybe an impact injury?

Bring on the kids. That is about all we have outside the top 17

Exciting but scary too. If this year gets ugly it could get Fergos head ugly.
