Chemist Warehouse Injury Report: Round 24

It encouraging that we have so many top class knee surgens on this forum, they know not just that the best surgeons are in Brisbane, but also that they are the best option for the AD!

yeah lets put total faith in the clubs medicos. the club that made simon dwyer walk off the field when he had career ending nerve damage, the club that put a painkilling needle in the wrong part of Farahs leg before a must win game that ended his (and our) day after 10 mins

end of the day 2 players tore their ACL within 24 hours of each other. 1 has already had his op and is in recovery, the other is seeing which bulk bill surgeons are available.

Sivo did his ACL the same week. Was operated on in Qld & is now starting his long rehab.

AD will be waiting months to get to that point.

The article quoted about the possibility of another hospital in a few weeks. Do you think the private surgeons like sitting around twiddling their thumbs? They’ll be pulling out all stops to get the work. It wont be months.

Who knows what private surgeons are doing. But the support staff they need to perform an operation (anesthetists nurses etc) are being moved to COVID support duties whether that be administering vaccines or covering shifts of those that have been identified as a close contact of an infected person & are being forced to self isolate.

It is not a matter of choosing not to operate due to fear of infection, it is the fact that the health system has needed to direct all available resources into critical care.

Not all support staff are employed by public health. As I said, the surgeons will work it out.

Same medical crew that sent Seyfarth out today with more strapping than a broken down racehorse and somehow he injured the same knee.

The coach is not the only reason players don't want to come here

Not a single medical person currently at the club was around when Simon Dwyer got hurt? That was 10 years ago. Drawing a very long bow.
