U used the words "so-called supporters", so u are questioning my love for the team.

Mate, i never bag Heighno as an individual or as a person, in fact ive praised him. I take the point from u and Geo that i need to let up on him, and im taking that on baord, i really hope he makes me look like a fool next year. I think the main reason i jump on him is because i see him as one of those untouchables who will never be dropped no matter what and that gets under my skin.

Hopefully he'll be fully fit next year and relish the role of 13.

I don't question your support of the team or the players especially Heigno…Most of the time it's a gee up......I actually listen and take on board your critique of Heighington's form in 2009 and for the most part I think your right....

Thing is I see it a little different....his injuries played a part.....but I think the job he was asked to do by Sheens took it's toll....Eliis got Benji's favoured side in attack and defence...allowed to get wider whereas Heighno was tighter in both attack and defence taking the ugly hit up and defending the ruck.....

Hopefully with the recruitment so far for 2010....Heghno will be able to get wider and as simon says.... we will see him return to his 05/07 form..where he was touted for Origin selection

Imagine....Hit ups by Galloway, Gibbs and Cayless then wide to Benji/Eillis on the left or Moltzen/Heighno on the right....wooot wooot.....

If this is indeed the case, it wouldnt be the first time a player has suffered due to playing an unsuitable role due to coaches instructions, so u may be right. I hope so.

Ive said recently ill back off until next year and wait for some improvement, and i will, hell, i even named him in my starting 13 at lock…........can u believe that

At the end of the day, none of us wants a Tigers player to be out of form, so here's hoping in 2010 we see the 2008 version of heighno back. I have my doubts because in my opinion he hasnt done enough in years 06, 07, 09 and the first half of 05\. Thats only 1.5 season of good form in 4 years. Just my opinion.

Of course the club could see this as a chance to free up cap space and its a postion we are that we have plenty of talent.

Like other posters, I think you can dismiss last season form, Rhino played injured for the majority of the season and with the likelihood of a super strong pack in 2010 one would expect him to be back to his best and probably come the no1 workhorse in the team.

Although these days nothing would suprise, theirs lots of flesh trading going on all the time

You people have got to stop reading the forums at LU. Have they ever got anything right???

is this forum any different?
i dont know how many times people on here have come on and said lote and Lima are sure things :unamused:

This guy plays his heart out, even when his not in top form he still trys his guts out. IMO he is gunna have a big season next year and prove to every 1 how good he is. If i remember correctly Benett wanted him at st George and was offering him more money but he ended up signing here for a lot less, just to stay. He loves the tigers

I'm not saying everything on here is correct but at least a few people have a good record on these things. Difference being is that there are people on this forum who get their info from well placed people and often offer some disclaimer on the veracity of the rumour.

On the other hand 99.9% of the people on LU are talking out of their rear ends and get their "info" from a pissed bloke down at the local…

Heighington has one of the highest workrates at the club even playing injured. He won't be going anywhere anytime soon. With a good off-season he will be back to his best. This will keep the likes of David Gower out of the top squad and likely being snapped up by the Manly Sea-Eagles next year.

Agreed Rhino wasn't at his peak last year, lets give the man a chance to make amends this year. Hopefully with a big off season, injury free, he can be back to his best next year.

It's good to know though, that there are some promising juniors keeping him honest.

Rhino was playing quite well in the last couple of games this season, with his best game being against the Bulldogs, however I just think he needs to work on his attack. He has got decent speed over the first 20 meters, has good leg drive when he doesnt submit in the tackle, which was my major fault on his game, and can ball play before and after the line. Defence and workrate is not his issue.
You have to have the right type of guys and plays running back into the middle of ruck (which was where Rhino was running this season however he was getting picked off too easily by the markers). Hopefully he will play back on the fringes more often where he is best suited. I think he could have a massive year in 2010.

mark my words rhinos 2010 season will be his best yet.
though i have a few questions which need a bit of clearing up.
1\. when is he rumored to be going to raiders
2\. when the bears are established is he a definite player for them?
3\. should we lookout for moltzen moving there aswell as he is a centy local

Stayed tuned, im a bricky by trade and so is heighington, the young guy i got working with me knows Chris well and hes going to ask him if he needs a bit of work with me in the off season, so ill let you guys know the update on his future as soon as i find out..

IMO Rhino needs to learn how to hit a hole, rather than just run straight into players (particularly markers). I don't doubt his commitment, energy and work rate, however alot of the time he cripples our attack. I also don't think he's an 80 min player, but that's probably a Sheens discussion.

His leg drive is very good though and unlike many of our other forwards he never submits easily in a tackle. I just think he needs to get a little more variety in his game.

If Fitzhenry is with us next year but Heighington is not, something is wrong.

Just that first bit is so wrong, surely the second can't be true.
