Felling a little better …..

It'd be nice if it gets done before round 1, and then he destroys the dogs who were after him

Yeh im sure 100% were signing him dw his staying dats y his manger is still talking and ceo confirmed dat there will be gud out come so sit bak and get ready to hear chris lawrence sign 2 to 3 year deal

I really appreciate your posts, but do you mind if you can spell words as they are supposed to be spelt, only as to make this old man able to read your posts straight up.
Thanks in advance.

_“I dare say that’ll happen over the next few weeks or it won’t (happen).”_

Fighting words. Seems like the Tigers aren't interested in a tug of war when Lawrence's value increases as his name is included in rep squads.

Perhaps sending the message to Lawrence as well, sort this out now or we potentially won't be making more offers.

Chris is a great player but not into offerring 5 year contract 3-4 maybe Players can lose form get injured etc Other club other than bulldogs that might be able to make big offer would be Broncos Lots of spare money and with Bennett probably going back they could be an issue But if tigers sign Sheens they will get Chris somewhere between 350k -400k I guess

Geez I don't know - he is only 22 just broken into the Aust team and looks a shoe in for SOO - i would tie him up for 5 yrs in a flash - 5yrs @4ook - a 2mil deal looks good to me.

With these numbers, we must be willing to let go players.

I will go crazy if we start slamming the club next year when we loos the battle to resign a youngster because we have Robbie, Benji, Chris on Super $$$$.

Well for someone that only has about 16 touches of the ball a game & plays on the less defending side $350k seems like a real lot of bannanas. Can't help thinking of his poor defence vs Canberra last semis.

Wasn't he back after only 3 weeks from a suspected 6wk broken jaw? Even the toughest players would be a little tentative in the first 40…

His first half was ordinary, but he made up for it with a stellar second half.

they should offer him a new contract until the end of 2014 @ $350,000 per year.

Maybe so but realistically it will take at least 350,000 upwards to retain him - it could be backended over the last 3 yrs to allow for the natural movement of guys like Payten, Tuqiri, McKinnon, Utai. There is also likely to be an increase in the cap when the new TV rights come into play so 350K may be a bargain.

I was at the season launch on Tuesday night and spoke to Lawrence about this. He said he's leaving it to his Manager but he wants to stay with us. I told him how the fans think he is the future of the club etc but I didn't want to hassle him too much.

I then spoke to Liam about it and Liam said they share the same Manager and that the manager is just trying to talk up his price.

We here on the forum constantly talk big numbers, Does anyone actually think about the fact the club has to actually generate all the income that is required to pay the players, the staff the flights and accomm etc…

I want the club to lock up it's guns but not at any price, especially if it sends us down a path that makes us unstable fonancially.

I want Lawrence to resign badly but more so I want the Tigers to be around and competitive for the next 30 years.

The funny thing is that Lawrence (and other top players in our squad) are getting less at WT because they simply want to stay here and play under Tim Sheens

I have just accepted an offer to change Jobs and I took a little less than I could have simply to work for a Co in a role liked. Thats normal.

Our Starts deserve good $$$, Just dont rort the Club…

Sign Chris.

By the way - Not that I believe everything I read in the Sydney tabloids

How can the dodgy Doggies offer Chris Lawrence $350K when this mornings SMH reads as follows;

Idris, 20, meanwhile, is considering a deal from Newcastle worth $350,000 a season over three years, significantly more lucrative than what the Bulldogs could presently put forward.
