Although finding his feet at 5/8, Lawrence is a ball runner, not a ball player. He plays too direct and can't pass at the line. Maybe that will come with confidence, but considering we have Anasta who will play their next year, to me it's pointless to experiment for the remainder of this year.

When we had Humble at half, benji at 5/8 we were scoring points and defense was letting us down, so don't know why Sheena didn't stuck with it for longer.

It was Sterlo and he was right. He's not going to throw 20m bullet passes but he's strong and quick and no doubt Sheens wanted him to be more involved.

How I see it as well, not a traditional five eight by any means, but Sheens had no intention of playing as such.

Ayshford played a similar role in the second half.

Not what I'd do with him, but I see the logic, get the ball in the hands of your best players more often.

This, attack was fine. Now i defense is good id like to go back to this.

Let lawrence fill in at 5/8 when our season is going good.

Lawrence defense was solid in the first half and he protected his patch of grass exceptionally well, however we didn't score any points which is the main goal of a playmaker. Chris is a great ball runner.. Full Stop! He is fantastic in the centres and would probably be a handy short term "fill in" player at fullback or at lock if even required, but he's not a full time ball player.

Sheens, enough experimenting please. Give us a specialist playmaker!

We've scored no tries with Marshall and Lui playing in the halves. The lack of points is not an accurate reflection on Chris Lawrence.

The problem is with Lawrence is he stunts our attack

If something does open up in front of him I doubt he has the passing game to execute

We become extremely predictable with Lawrence at 6 and it puts more pressure on Marshall and Farah to be creative and will create more errors and forced plays by the two of them

The only postive is we have the best defensive 6 in the comp

Cons outweigh the pros in my opinion

Not true …... had Benji not flicked and instead passed to lote then we score points for sure.
Suggesting we can't score points with Chris at five eighth is at best a silly statement.

Agreed. Lawrence at 6 wasn't the reason we didn't score in the first half against the Warriors.

If you are happy with our best centre playing five-eighth that is up to you.
