Failures today, and probably all year except Thompson, MWZ, Sue, Brooks, Thompson, McQueen and I could go on, Farah and Mbye were good, as was Reynolds and Rowdy, the rest :deadhorse:

@ said:@ said:Cleary can not get away with out some criticism, look at how well the no name Titans coach is doing, he is the one that has signed 2 dud props on big money … There is a lot of talk but not much action ATM.
The Titans have current Origin players. Also a future Origin halfback. They have more talent then us in my opinion.
And they only have 6 wins.

Good avatar. I Like it.

The biggest thing that annoys me about current players in the modern era. With all the science, the training techniques, the facilities, the physio. They train all week, full-time professionals getting paid $300k+ they have to perform for 2 x 40 minutes halves every week, 40mins of play and then you get to sit down for 15 mins and yet, some players can only play 20mins and they are gassed. It's pathetic. An 80 minute game. 80 minutes a week, less than an hour and a half of work a week and most front line forwards struggle to play 40mins a game. Terrible conditioning.

Honestly didn’t even notice him once
@ said:Anybody who thinks Cleary should be sacked is delusional. In the first few rounds we looked really good and our defence was outstanding. Our defence has definitely fallen off in recent times but how can this be cleary's fault. Our defence has been poor for many seasons and with 1 off season he turned our defence into one of the best in the comp. He has shown he has what it takes so the onus has to fall onto the players.
We are just making too many errors and giving possession to the opposition - something out of cleary's control. When we held onto the ball yesterday we looked really good our attack looked capable of scoring points. But we just lacked execution.
In our last 2 games we have not scored a second half point. This comes off the lack of possession and our heads just dropping. At the start of the season we were playing with intensity for 80 minutes but this aspect of our game has disappeared. It is now up to Ivan AND the players to make sure that this second half trend reverses starting with our next match against the dragons.
Ivan still needs to do his part in making sure the players can turn this poor form around but to think he needs to be sacked is ridiculous.
Hopefully we can use this bye to refresh an replenish our energy so we can play for 80 minutes.
There is still a lot of dead-wood that needs to be cleared out and we need to look to sign quality players. It looks like we have front-loaded a few contracts so we should have extra money to spend on quality players in the upcoming seasons.

You've certainly come out firing since you signed up to the forum.
Though I put it to you - if "most front line forwards struggle to play 40 mins a game", direct quote from yourself, then doesn't it tell you that playing more than 40 mins a game is difficult?
Fair enough if there were lots of forwards at other clubs cashing in 70+ minute games, then you can point fingers. But if most of them need a sub for half a match, then it tell you that… most of them NEED a sub during a match.
Money, training, duration of the work week - there are limits on human endurance, you can't just say "they do less than 2 hours work per week" and point fingers.
