I'm a Wests fan from way back ,but this crowd could possibly be the worst crowd of all the games this weekend

Not much to hang your hat on considering all the promotion the Tigers have put in this week

Agreed…..cant blame Humphreys for this....he listened.Ticked all boxes as far as Im concerned and still we get no crowd.

Its dissapointing to say the least.

Im fearing no more suburban games anywhere if we dont start turning up....keeping in ming we get good dosh for playing at the big stadia no matter what the crowd.

The feedback received was a lack of engagement with the local area. It needs to be rebuilt and the club responded. The club had an increase in the crowd from the first match.

Engagement does not materialise over night. There was an improvement in the actions of the club and the crowd size. Just need to continue the good work started.

Dunno how much of a real improvement there was though.
The club was packed before the game….but there seemed to be heaps of broncos fans there ....even passed a commodore on the freeway with QLD plates, full of Bris fans...

The key to the South West corridor is being a winning sports team.

For a multitude of reasons from finance to kids sport and the fact many people enter the area already with a team the old community engagement model doesn't work. There is no historical significance to the ground that brings generations through the gate. Many outsiders write it off as too much of a hike.

Playing more games there will not work, cheaper tickets will help but not solve the issues. It has nothing to do with the internal merger politics. People of the area want a winner and that is what they will pay their money to see

Think he was reffering to Uncle Nick Politis and his paper bags of "incentive"

This topic is one very close to heart. I suppose I'm just passionate old school Wests Tigers supporter. I may sometime read between the lines of other forum members and I'm not scared to speak my mind when I feel the need. I'm not got to pussy foot around cause I'm scared of my reputation points. I'm successful in life so a few negative points from fellow forum members is going to be the last thing on my mind when I have a point of view.To some reputation points means more to them than the meaning of the content of the post itself?. If all Wests Tigers supporters followed there team to wherever they played within what is geographic and affordable for the individual without other agendas this thread would not have been necessary.I did go to far with one of my posts so I edited it and will send a PM to the individual to apologize. Lets get behind our team guys and girls cause it is our team.

Interesting that on twitter Grant Mayer said that they had good ticket sales but over 2,000 paid members didn't show up…

Anyways, it all comes back to the fact that most so called Wests Tigers supporters are fickle bandwagoners.

Oh okay, that's actually understandable. Well, i mean i have no idea why the 2k didnt show up but i was at a loss why ticket sales were so poor as they are usually the one that determines a crowd. Solid work from the WT marketing depart and humpherys (that sounded weird…)

We better be in better form next time we play at C-town else it may dip below 10k again...

No team gets sellouts each week when they're running close to last, so the 'bandwagoning' is not a problem unique to the tigers.

There are various issues behind the poor Cambo crowds … But at the end of the day there is no hiding the fact that it is disappointing. Since there is no chance of us abandoning the sth-wst, the club has a conundrum on its hands on how to solve this (winning a few games would be a great start).

They need to engage the community for more than one week happy.I got to say the 11 000 that were there got right into the game. Maybe they should do what they used to do back in the day open the gates at halftime. Ahhhh memories of my youth lol

I personally thought the crowd looked and sounded a lot bigger EODT , was surprised when they said 11500

Looked like 14-15000

I agree, everyone i spoke to thought there was 14000 plus there, Also were the Trains not running all the way to Campbelltown?.
