Coach Benji 👑

Personally I like how far the Sri Lankan game has come after all these years to produce it's first fringe NRL first grader and god of state cup - that will serve us well in the Indian/Sri Lankan south-west growth corridor.

It won't be long before our first Chinese or Vietnamese player comes out of our growth area.
Rugby is surprisingly popular in Sri Lanka. Former international cricketer Russell Arnold is a fan of WT.

Yea, ah.
Correlation Does not equal Causation!

Now which team has a coach that played "rugby Union"?
Cmon, I can think of one. It's both a foundation club and a merger of two teams.

Ill say the common demoninator between Roosters and Sharks is Craig FitzGibbon. He would wressle any player on any day as assistant coach. His emphasis on gritty defense has improved both clubs.
I think it’s more than a coincidence that Michalak has just returned this month to assist at the Sharks, and Sharks put 66 points on the Dolphins last weekend. Fitzgibbon is full of praise for the bloke ,

Yes, I read about that. Maybe just a different perspective on lines and attack.
Wonder if he can come and see our guys for a bit of tuition ! They certainly need it from 7 outwards.

Two teams in the comp that are playing well now are Roosters and Sharks. Common denominator here is that they have Rugby Union Coaches as assistants, in Michael Cheika and Frederic Michalak. Keeping our same assistant coaches will not improve our skill level, I know we’ve had heaps of injuries but replacements need better coaching. All over the park our defence is haphazard.
Set plays in attack are few and far between, we need to look further afield , I’m sick of seeing the same stuff dished up each week!!
Rant over!

Erm. Our coach played Rugby Union in NZ, and Brett Hodgson coached English Rugby for a year with Eddie Jones.
