This isn’t the 99 Magpies for crying out loud. But if that’s the card you want to play, why after 3 years does his roster still suck? Why has he re-signed half the squad to long term contracts if they resemble members of the Generals.

Shane Richardson headed up the "Recruitment Committee" that assembled most of this squad and cut a lot of contracts of guys coming through the ranks.

I'd be happy to give Benji a fair crack at fixing things.

Unless we're signing a brand name like Wayne Bennett who can attract talent from the get go, I don't see the point in paying out another coach who hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet.
