It will be good to know who all these coaches answer to. Is there a coaching director, head of football, football director etc? Surely they can't answer directly to CEO and 100% should not be answering to the Head Coach.

Coaches need coaches too, hope they're given the support required.

Yes and Especially Marshall.

Marshall has the NRL experience and the attitude to get players motivated. However he has a stack of learning and growth to do. ... I am not seeing that development in him.

Had we gotten a solid coach like Wayne Bennett, Haslier, etc. Marshall would grow a lot. Sheens's logic isn't working in the modern game.

Where are you not seeing it ? How many days a week are you at training, how many half time or pre game dressing rooms have you been in ?

Shouldn’t the CEO be responsible for operational matters rather than football tactics? Those head coaches should report to the NRL head coach. They should all be singing from the same hymn book.

Agree with the first part, but do you really think Marshall is equipped to coaching 12 more coaches? I don't think he can even handle the 30 men he's got already.

@cochise maybe could follow this up if youre going to the awards night?
Who is head of football or coaching director , whatever its called?
Sheens held this position I think for a bit before we jerked knees punted madge and he gave himself the Head Coach job

Or maybe someone could email Richo 🤔

I could be wrong but I thought Betsy was covering that role after sheen’s left

The other coaches would report to Betsy from a working perspective but also noting that Benji and the club would have a style that would be set down the grades.

It’s definitely Betsy but I have no idea why! He’s come from a cricket background I hope the club is putting a lot of work into upskilling him.

I think the women’s team needs there own head of football cause there is no way 1 man can be all over the amount of jr teams we have

How many jr teams do we have? This man needs help

Balmain 2 sides
Wests 2 sides
Mcarth 2 sides

Women’s
There must be atleast 5 teams

That’s a lot of organising for 1 man
Not to mention he is in charge of the nrl squad and performance staff aswell

I dug up an.olf.article when he was.installed as interim... I think. Nov 23... They stated a final decision on the position was on hold until the review was complete
Is he still interim or did they give him the job permanent?

I'm sure he is now in the rule permanently but I don't know if an announcement was ever made.

Would you know of his credentials by any chance?
Setup the pathways systems for cricket nsw and cricket Australia. Was brought into the Wests Tigers as head of pathways and has been promoted to head of football.

There are a couple of interviews with him on BTR and I did an interview with him last year on the Wests Tigers podcast.
