Coedi Towney

There is a story in today's Central Coast paper about Coedi. Sadly it's mainly because he was involved in a punch-up outside a pub up here. No charges have been laid according to the paper.

Article also mentions he has signed with Windsor and supposedly Penrith thought he was capable of making a run at an NRL spot.

(Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this Mods - wasn't sure where it would fit in and figured anyone interested would be in this neck of the woods!)

Why do you think Coedi left our club? I think you will find it was disciplinary reasons. He seems to always be in trouble or always in the wrong place at the wrong time!!

Was a small story in the terrorgraph the other day about this. They more or less insinuated that he was a "star," such is the sensationalist rubbih we've come to expect from them.

From vague memory that article also mentioned that he broke his wrist in the fight.

Yes the Central Coast Express Advocate article says he broke his wrist. One of the other participants went to Gosford Hospital with a fracture eye socket. According to the CCEA it was all over a woman (big surprise).
Towney is having surgery on Friday according to the Windsor secretary.

Happened at the Woodport Inn which is sort of a Central Coast version of the Castle Hill Tavern. Police are seeking witnesses.

He apparently sat on a bloke's lap to try to chat up a chick (as there were no free chairs near her) & then king-hit the bloke & his mate who came to his help!

He is a mug of the highest order!

I thought we let him go primarily because in his one State Cup appearance he was more out of his depth than Harold Holt

I actually thought he went ok in the few games i seen him play for NYC, hes pretty quick as well, not sure if hes up to 1st grade standard though
