I,m not concerned at all, it,s plain to see what is going on . The rebuilding of the Tigers is underway …IMO there will be a major clean out at years end !Coach Potter is working though the club as a whole and selecting who goes and who stays pretty evident .Injures have speed this process up and I have no doubt things will speed up as the season progresses, the youth of the club is being tested to see if there is a future there before going into the market place, not all will make the grade but there is certainly a move within the club to see if there up to the task. Have faith I,m sure there will be a couple of purchases on the field and off as this area is another that needs serious attention .

I agree Snake.

The only one that I would be interested in, is not a forward,( I think we have some good ones coming through), is Falou.

He has been shunned by the Rugby selectors and could be ripe for a good offer. Big, strong and can play centre, wing or fullback. He also has a very high profile which is good for sponsors.

really? We have Simona, Richards, Koro, Teddy, Nofo, Ayshford, Reddy and to cover 5 positions after we let Utai, Tuqiri and Moltz go. Don't think we really need Folau.

We do need a Kasiano or maybe Aaron Wood's secret identical twin who has been training in Albania for the last 5 years

Who do you think are the good forwards coming through?

We are very lucky we do have such a strong junior system but it will not amount to anything unless you have the quality players around them, because the other clubs hand pick the best kids and introduce them one at a time time and surround them with hard nuts with plenty of experience. Penrith have a super strong junior system, but at present they are in the market place buying players because Gus knows you need these kids to be protected for a few years and have quality mentors.

Their is also a big risk that plenty of kids never make the grade,if you go through all the excellent junior sides you will find very few actually turn out to be top line first graders for one reason or another. A few years ago Sheens and Bennett were on the ABC debating the merits of pumping money into your junior system or just doing a Manly and targeting kids once they had made the grade from other clubs and both agreed that the Manly approach had far better out comes but was not best for the club.

Anyway, I just think we need a influx of players from outside the club just to give the place a new feel.

I know a few players from other clubs socially.

The resounding opinion amongst these guys is they would love to play with Farah and have no interest in playing with Benji. all but one of these guys are forwards

Well that in 2007 Lima wanted to come back to WT from France (before the Melbourne offer) his and his managers details were passed on to Noyce & Sheens. Neither received even a courtesy call

And that makes perfect sense

They would bust their butts to get field position for Benji to throw it 5 metres over our wingers head ,Kick balls way over the deadball line , Sideways bombs ,no look passes to oppositon players , running sideways and then offloading to an unknowing centre or winger ,not finding touch and then defensively after defending a couple of repeat sets for Benji to play tag with some second rower who finally gets him one on one

Half of the plays that he puts on only he seems to know about ,especially the kicks early in sets

Look I know we signed Richards ,and he could be a good signing for us ,but is anyone concerned that we haven't attracted one NRL player yet

Names are disappearing daily and we haven't really even recieved a mention

If we are undermanned at the moment (well we are running 16th so we must have some issues), we are going to need to bolster the squad for 2014 and if we don't make some moves shortly we will end up with 3-4 fringe first graders again who are no better or worse than the players they will replace

Anyone else feel the same

Gotta be concerned when Potter said this 1/3rd of a season ago.

''We need some front-rowers,'' he said. ''We've got some young blokes who are doing a good job for us in Ava [Seumanufagai] and Jack Buchanan. But eventually it's going to wear them down. We just need to bolster our [broader] squad up as well. We'll have to find something in the short term.''

May be Potter is not motivated enough to go through the trouble of attracting new players? I hope not because if Potter is not motivated how can we expect the FG players to be? Weird situation.

There are plenty of players still available. Just last night the news reported that the Knights are unlikely to sign Tahu (who I wouldn't want), Costigan and a third player whos name escapes me. There are still guys like Tetavano (Knights), Pryor and Weyman (Dragons), and that is just a few of the guys that are off contract.

OK, BUT would you want any of these players. This is the problem, we do not ever seem to get around to picking the right players!

Then there are still players that may be under contract but not wanted by their club such as George Rose. As far as I am aware Tim Grant isn't off contract but I would snap him up in an instant if he was available.

George Rose is no better than the players we have been buying. Do you think Penrith would let Grant Go?

It is easy to get worried as we are not being mentiioned at the moment. Players are around, and whilst clubs keep spending on their current squads then there may be some bargain buys out there. Two or three forwards and a back would compliment our juniors nicely.

Again, WHO are the two or three forwards and the back we should be targeting and who we have some chance of signing?

I am very concerned.

We have a bit of dead wood. IMO we need to recruit size and muscle.

Don't want to beat an old drum but Sheens has put us in this mess with his recruiting. Potter needs time to build a squad his way without injuries.

In saying that our full strength team this season was never going to challenge for the top 8 with the likes of Utai, Reddy, Blair, Murdoch-Masila, Moltzen.

I like some of the young kids coming through such as Buchanan, Nofoaluma, Koroibete, Sironen but they need some experienced forwards to help them along. Fulton and Pettybourne should be kept as they would make good bench players for those 20 min breathers the forwards need.

We need two backrowers with staunch and for Keith bloody Galloway to stop being injured. Then we need a peaking, good sized outside back. The rest we already have coming through. Our backrow signings have proven to be very, very poor. Ellis is proving to be a big loss.

fix the bloody politics with in the club hands up any one who wants to go and say bye bye baby good bye .last night there looked a lot of players who didn't want to play love the club or piss off we don't want you

I am glad that you are not a selector.

At least the young fellas coming up to first grade seem to be playing for a positions, respect and pride. Pride to wear the Wests Tigers Jersey. I think some of the older brigade have forgotten what that feels like. Forget the money, for the chance to play with a group of guys, to play hard and come out on top with a win. How it used to be. Todays players are like buying a plastic barina instad of the old datsun or torana. Yeah the Datsun was rough, be she went like the clappers and didn't let you down. Rough as guts they would say. Just saying.

ummm, no. I would rather save that money for Kasiano, Tamou, Matt Scott etc. instead of a position where we have plenty of decent players.

I'm not; couldn't give a rats, and to be quite honest I don't want to sign anyone.

Our future success will be built around home-grown talent. Our only successful signing in years has been Ellis, and even he has ultimately been less than a raging success given the amount of time he missed in the last two years here.

Let's get used to the idea we are not going to buy our way to success and move on from
Yes we have some talented juniors coming through ,but apart from 4 players (Farah,Woods,Fulton and Tedesco) they have no one to learn from

We need some players who will be good leaders on and off the park

We need some players who will help lead and rebuild the club , not constantly drag it down

We definitely need an experienced recognized centre ,unless we have someone who is about to stand up that noone knows about ,the cupboard is bare

I don't think that you can put Tedesco in that group he is still finding his feet.
I believe we have a very strong group of kids coming through. I said last year that there was 6 first graders in last years squad, that excluded sironen, I stand by that. We have a really talented back 3 in the making. Koro has much to learn and I expect to see rocks and diamonds for a while yet, I reckon we will get good output from the other 2 next year. Outside 6 from last year I reckon you can add Brooks and Moses.
imo our future looks far better than others.
Anasta, Galloway should definitely be added to the list of leaders and whilst out of form and forum favor, Lawrence is a good role model of professionalism.
we are getting some game time into blokes like Sue and Buchanan that may accelerate their development, it is not as dire as some believe imo

please don't fill the place with old has beens bring the kids on spend our money on the kids long term it will pay off just look at the blokes we bought that sheens left rot in state cup went to other clubs and made 1st grade

With all the connections Potter is supposed to have in U.K. why can't he get a quality player or two of reasonable quality(besides Richards) to move to Wests Tigers?
