Conditioning

I wonder if we train hard enough. The way Nathan Brown has transformed his body in such a short time at Souths is amazing. Souths are renowned for savage fitness work and he has actually turned himself into a backrower which would have shocked all of us if that was suggested when he was at the Tigers. Clearly souths train harder and better than us for him to get those results.

Not blaming our conditioning for our losses, just shocked at Browns change since leaving and it poses the question.

I've heard him personally say that the difference in professionalism between the two clubs is huge

Taylor has come from one of the better equipped clubs in Easts so I'm sure he knew what was required when he took a look at the Tigers setup.

I didn't recognise Brown at the Souths game tonight . Looked like a different person. Talk about falling on your feet.

given that, are people expecting too much out of JT and the squad at this stage? At times it's like supporting a brand new club, not one that has supposedly been around for a while

And, he brought Rod Reddy, an 80's icon, to help develop a modern, contemporary NRL squad. What? I was lost on Taylor from that point. The results so far show Taylor is a capable assistant coach … at best.

When I recounted Lotes comparison of South to WTs. ..The huge gap in . professionalism. ..equipment. ..rehab and basic coaching where players concerns are heard and acted on unlike here….people scoffed.
I saw Brown last night carry three NZ forwards for 15m

You would think someone from a professional orginisation would be able to spot someone like Brown and see how much improvement was there.

You would think…..

I don't doubt Souths train harder expect higher results. But with Nathan brown there is no better motivation then having ur career on the line. And stepping up to survive. Souths know he will have to be hungry to make side. A lot of juniors become comfortable at same club going through motions

Imagine what Souths could do with Lodge scary! The Tigers do seem to be amateur hour.

Please no, that would do me.

It would help if we had a movie star and a billionaire backing us….

Well we have Harry and the wiggle.
What more do you want? Geez

Was always going to be something, regardless of whether he was playing for us or them. He just needed motivation.

So this is the key word MOTIVATION I see Siro in the Brown mould a big guy that just ambles up and just makes the tackle or hits the line …the more the season progresses the more I see the need for signs all over everything the Tigers own saying MOTIVATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.as the proof is there for all to see .

He was a bit of a ratbag when he was younger, but I could never see why we never gave him a decent chance to make firsts even when we were desperate for players, at least he had some agression, just needed for it to be channelled the right way.

We are prepared to give two overhyped halves a gaurantee place in the side forever it seems, yet couldn't give brown even a half a dozen games to see what he could do.

This has always been a huge issue for us. Huge.

Every other side seems to be able to dig a lot deeper than we can, it has been this way for about 10yrs it seems.

The other team seems to always get deeper, run harder, hit harder, stick better, wrestle more powerfully, co-ordinate their tackles instead of fighting against each other in a tackle, put on bone-shaking hits, get arms free to off-load, chase kicks harder, set a line better.

I would love to see the GPS comparisons for the players from other teams against ours after a game!

They get organised as quick as possible for the next play while we walk around with our hands behind our heads sucking in deep ones. Some players start doing this after about 10-15mins.

I know we do have our moments (hey, about 10mins of them last week!) but seriously, 'they' almost always have better attitude, more energy and more running.
