Great move, breaking up our dangerous left side attack.

FMD.

My sentiments exactly. You don't weaken one position in an attempt to strengthen another. Farah to 7 in the past is a prime example of this. Would of been better off starting Water at 7 or pushing Fulton into the halves and leaving the dynamic duo on the left edge intact.

Not saying Lawrence isn't up tyo the task or challenge, I have every ounce of belief and confidence in him being able to play at second receiver, but again, my beef is that it's more of an hinderance to the team dynamics as a whole.

I hope Daniela can step up and fill the void at left centre. I'd much prefer he there than Fitzhenry.

I give up…..I just don't understand this constant player shuffling bit, surely it's better for team cohesion just to bring up someone from the lower grades without moving any of the first graders around? especially in the halves....moving Benji hasn't worked before, can't see it working now.

Here's hoping Lui is back next week.

Lawrence @ Six will be OK

Similar to The Greg Bird style of Game. I dont mind it.

Teams named on Tuesday is a joke - Everyone knows it means almost nothing

Lets not all Panic.

Thought it was a bit 2 brilliant for crouching….

They pretty much defended where the have been the previous 4 wins....but lets change it all now after 1 loss....who cares how long it takes to build combinations...

Benji doesn't need hiding.......just switch on....

You keep telling yourself that champ.

Go have a look at the tape and tell me what you see when Ayshford rushed the line last week..

But your claims on Marshall are hysterical..

What I dont understand is why broadcast? They should have trained in those positions headed up to Brisbane with the Broncos thinking Fitzy is playing 7 and change the team around in our first set of 6\. That's the only way I can see this working.

Which time…..it's on again soon.....I'll take notes.....

There were plenty of others missing tackles apart from them.....

Nothing but true facts, not rumours.

As opposed to false facts?

Anyway, I'll be interested to see how we go. The 'baby' Broncos aren't exactly babies anymore, and they're big across the park.

And I hope Lawrence carves up.

chris at five eight could be a blessing in disguise. he is a very strong runner of the ball. has a good footwork at the line and knows how to draw in more than one defender.

where does this leave beau and mckinnon by the way?

For the record, lets see how the boys run out on Friday Night, and I'm a tad worried about the prospect of a daniella/fitzhenry defensive combination - both are good players, but if someone like T'eo gets an idea to swap sides and go after them we may be in for a long night down that side…

Dragons try before half time…Let me know how many players in Ayshford is defending..

My recollection is 3 in.

Ellis - Ayshford - Daniella - Ryan.

funny that...
because he was only 2 in the week before...

Ellis - Lui - Ayshford - Ryan.

this must be worrying for Lui.. he's obviously not going to be back for another few weeks.

i just wish sheens would leave #6 on marshal''s back even if he played first reciever for most the game.. seems he gets some mental block whenever he has the #7 on his back -.-

changing the defensive combination is just stupid. It takes 3-4 weeks for the defensive pattern to learn to defend with each other. When you defend week to week with each other, you start to interpret what your partner will do next. Players compensate for each other, but if they don't usually defend with you, they may not react, but worst of all is if they over-react, the results can be disastrous…

Our defense has been great over the past 5 weeks???

He had 6 on his back and was awful last week. Anyone who is that worried about Marshall playing first receiver hasnt been watching too close, he's been there most of the season.

So who is the guy that looks a lot like Benji who missed Boyd twice in the first half alone? he even had the powerbands on and everything.

Another thing that baffles me is Sheens' uncertainty. We played Friday night, and 4 days later he names Fitzhenry at 7, then 2 days later changes it. Wernt those first 4 days long enough to decide whats best for the team? And its not like he was putting up a smokescreen because he's announced the changes well before the game. Thats what really worries me, its like he has no idea what he should do regarding team selection.

Maybe this is the smokescreen, or maybe the first team was…or maybe there may be another positional change announcement.

Just on this....I dont think Ive ever heard of such an announcement mid week, bar the uncertainty over Pat in GF week, they usually name the team on Tues and thats it till 60 mins prior to kick off

my guess is defencively they wont change offensively they will

We would be the only team in the comp who places their 6 & 7 on the same side of the ruck in defense?

Not hard to work out where all the traffic will be sent…

just because they are the half and five eight doesnt mean they cant defend on the same side. most teams only put halves on other sides of the field so the shift can occur early in the count. but due to lawrence not being a permenant half i dont see as though they will do this as frequent. plus we have the likes of farah who can make the shift out wider in the sake of the spread
