Any Coach should be given 2 seasons to prove themselves. By Rd 6 or so in 2014 we should be able to gauge if Potter is deserving of another contract.

That's a tough decision but I'd go with a 3 yr contract as i think we need a bit of stability now & to give the new coach a chance to implement his changes & structures. As well as to buy some players he wants for season 2014\. Money who knows, i won't believe the alleged amount that the paper will come up with.

I'd go 3 years…at $250,000 they all start untried at least potter has had success,experience and possibly useful access to a bargain buy or 2 from uk super league

Not necessarily, the majority of coaches would be willing to start off on a minimal salary just to get the chance of coaching in the NRL…if they prove themselves then the big $$$ will be available to them down the track

Is that per year or duration. FMD it would want to be per year. Who'd be a coach!!

Warriors have shown the plan….Elliott has signed for only 2 years,,Thats the way Wests Tigers have to go . No long term contracts .

We have 3 or 4 new players coming HE has to fit into a NEW squad he didnt even choose….very difficult

dont like the 3 rd year in our/his option stuff tbh. it creates an heirarchy, the club doesnt wanna be bossed around my a noobie and the coach atm, who would probably be working on a minimum wage doesnt wanna feel like even after working for this amount of time, i dont have the power to have anything. i think 2 years on whatever amount they agreed on. if potter impresses us, if players improve under him… 2 more years and so on.
