Corey Patterson

Does everyone agree it will be Fulton and Patterson starting second row with sirro on the bench?

Nope, I'd have Sirro starting. I'd like to find a spot on the bench somewhere for Patterson, he I think he could provide some value.

I think fulton is a certain for the right side 2nd row, Patterson and Sirro will have to fight it out for the left side. Either way, one or the other will end up on the bench (most likely)

Ive been surprised by the lack of talk on him.

IMO he is the type of player we have sorely lacked…ie a big mobile ball playing backrower.

I always rated him in the nrl and his form in ESL is top shelf.

Cant wait to see him on the left edge.....and the boys outside him should go off!!

For mine, he is a dud buy but as my good friend STT rates him, I'm willing to back him.
GO COREY !!!!

Have u seen the footage of his ESL form Knuckles??They really didnt want to lose him.

Watch it you might have to rethink???

even before those videos i liked him but now i'm am really keen to see him come off the bench at 50minutes every game and give it 100% by tearing into the defence

might be handy in 9s if we dont want to risk some people for injury or whatever

One thing is for sure - the ball is NEVER dead when it is in Patterson's hands. He appears to read the defense well, he hits hard, and runs good angles. I like the look of him.

I am looking forward to the offerings of Patterson and Taupau.

Both should be in the top 17.

Hopefully Gravet is over his injuries and puts pressure on the top 17.

X 2, believe these three could be real surprises….

Yes I'm definitely having a rethink …. Lets hope he brings that form with him.

I've just had a thought about Potter

When you think about it , Potter must be highly regarded in England if three players from the ESL have rejoined the NRL and in particular the Tigers

Lets hope these players bring their A1 game back to Australia

Patterson was 18th man for NSW during his time at the Knights. With the right guidance he could be anything. I think he'll own a starting position by the end of the season.

Totally agree. If these 3 get going, we could be in for a great and exciting year.

One thing that really stands out is his strength. A few tries and offloads in the highlights package, he really had a lot of work to do.

His hands look good and is pretty quick for a 2row. Looks the complete package and will add plenty of value to our team if the highlights reel is anything to go by.

Our team needs some reliable players where you know what to expect week-in week-out. Hopefully CP is one of those players for us.

Strong player who can bend the line and create space for our back line to run into holes.

I am excited that we also can put up bombs and he is tall to jump and with good hands who knows.

Top 8 is a strong chance with a injury free year!

Go Tigers

Yeah I can see how you think the addition of a hack second rower that no one else wanted will propel out team to the finals. :crazy

I'm really struggling to find anything to be excited about for next year.

A couple of half decent backs with a nuffy forward pack to defend them.

 Paterson is no hack.

He's a guy who was rated one of the best juniors in the country who had some mental issues as a young guy that cost him a permanent position in his sides largely due to off field behaviour not his actual performances who has put it behind him and is coming off dominating an ESL competition that made Gareth Ellis look second rate.

Every year..same shit..fringe first graders and second rate union players no one else wants talked up like the next big thing.

Ohh Yeah I forgot about the other policy….Anyone over 30 looking to play NRL call Wests Tigers....We take anyone.

He wasn't "dominating" anything. He was run of the mill even over there.

And when did the ESL make Ellis look second rate?

Before his body fell apart he was by far the best second rower in the ESL (possible the world at the time.)

Why do you think the Tigers became his ticket back to OZ? There's not another club in the comp that would touch him with a 10 foot pole.
