Back to covid and off cars lol, I should be rolling up my sleeve sometime in the next week.

About time coshise,Willow used to get stuck into us for being off topic after the first 2 posts.....

Eh, all good. I get my second Pfizer shot next Tuesday.

Plan to have a few days off work.

Great, I was dreading that, although a couple of ladies I work with were fine after their second shot. Fingers crossed...

I had my first AZ jab today

Now we are back on covid...I got a text from my medical centre telling me I can have my jab.however,the question I would like to ask is,,Am I allowed to pick which vaccine I can have or do I get what they give me..

You get what they give you based on your age.

Bugger...I dont want blood clots...Astra Zeneca is what I have to have(over 60)..

Once you hit 50 your immune system is not as efficient as those under 50 that’s why the AZ vaccine is okay for us old farts.
I only had a slight headache the next day that was the only side effect.

I felt crap a few hours afterwards but settled down with food and panadol. Second Pfizer shot on the 25th. Friends who have had that one got a bit crook for a couple of days.

I’ve heard the 2nd of the Pfizer can come with a bit of a kick. Have to wait 12 weeks for my 2nd AstraZeneca.

I like to drive. It’s a very easy drive now with dual lanes pretty much all the way. Put the car in auto and point it north and you are pretty much done.

Good car for a long drive like that ?

Great car. 3.5ltr engine. Plenty of room inside. Reasonable sound system and connectivity.

Nearly got my last Camry with the 3.5L, couldn't justify the extra cost this time around but.

Well too late now as the 3.5L is no longer available. Basically options now are Hybrid or straight 4cyl.

Bugger, must have changed this year because it was an option for the SX and SL last year.

Totaly off topic, but speaking of Katoomba, where did all its pubs go? Haven't been there for a while - went to get a beer the other day at the Gearin and its become a coffee shop, then decided to go to the Irish pub instead and it's closed too.

I rarely go out to drink any more, generally go up to the Hydro with the wife and share a bottle of red if we want to go out for a drink.
