Could the streak be over for the Roar?

Sydney FC 2 Brisbane 0 at HT. Game being played at Kogarah Oval oddly enough…

Brisbane with the breeze in the second half which was largely responsible for one of the Sydney goals.

Mods you can change that title… Full-time: Sydney 2 Brisbane 0\. Qld also getting worked over in the Shield game too. Could the Queensland domination of sport be on the wane? 😱pen_mouth:

Your all crackpots

This is as close as we can can come to saying Merry Xmas to the other states in a sporting sense

Reality will return to your screens shortly

Looks like a few are already making excuses by saying Broich missing made a huge difference. If Bridge was fit and Jamieson wasn't suspended, we would have been nailed. Petratos looked deadly up front and Emmo's second goal was a masterpiece strike. Hopefully Bridge isn't chosen unless injuries strike.

To be fair to the Roar, you can only compete at 110% fo so long. They are still the benchmark even though they were flat today.

Yoss maybe you wrote Qld in the cricket off to soon 3.3 overs to go 11 runs needed 3 wickets in hand

And just like in the recent test scores level with 9 out! Be interesting to see if they get 3 points for that. Could have been some interesting tactics on that last ball depending on what the competition rules are. If you get 3 points for scores level it's in Victoria's interest for Qld to score a run off that final ball. If you get 3 for a tie and 0 for a draw, Queensland should have deliberately got run out going for a second run.

Of course maybe there are no points for a tie or a scores level draw…

Well according to the rules it's nothing for a scores level draw (so Vic 2 pts for winning 1st innings and Qld 0) but both teams would have got 3 for a tie. So it was in the interest of BOTH teams for the their to be a run out off that last ball!

Yeah that's way I read it too Yoss

Surprised that the coaches or management did not inform both sides of this

It's an anomaly when losing a wicket is an advantage but I guess it doesn't happen very often and giving 3 points for a score level draw would produce another anomaly. But yeah someone really should have been aware of that!
