Could we buy the club

Wests is valued at 40 to 50 million.

15,000 fans buy put in $2,700.

We currently have 9000 paying members

If you think about it...

1. HBG will probably only want to sell a majority of shares
2. There will be rich fans who will likely pay more for more ownership or extra shares

In that case the figure may be closer to $1000 to $1500 per person which is a season or 2 paying for membership.

Lets buy the club.

Why Not
Barcelona FC is owned by paid up member , and those members get to vote in the board and CEO. , very simple but very affective .
Tigers at say 50 million , sold as share ,,valued at $??? Per share , min 1 share max 100 shares available to 1 person or company , wouldn’t take much these days to reach the 50 but you would need more funds plus a club , home ground , etc , big job

As long as when I am CEO everyone still calls me Buttface. I’m in.

Theoretically potentially could work. But you would also need those fans/owners to cover operational costs. Ive no idea what that would be but I'd suggest you would be looking at the same cost again. And assuming that the club does not to turn a profit (last year being thus far a once off) it would be a continued financial commitment.

Once bought however, it is far from a guarantee that it would be run any better. If there are factions and in fighting under (essentially) 1 ownership, imagine the infighting amongst those rich fans with greater ownership percentages all wanting their say.

It's an interesting proposal that if it were a possibility would be worth investigating. However the biggest road block is the club isn't actually for sale.

Agree mate one owner or a small group with the motive only to make Wests Tigers great again.

There's no guarantee if thousands of owners don't contain what we are trying to get rid of Balmain/Magpies fanatics.
