Count the Ennis big hits....

Before I say this I would like to make it clear I hate Ennis more than anyone BUT I heard Paul Kent make a good point the other night and I think this is why Sticky likes Ennis and Danny so much.

The thing they do well is taking the ball from dummy half and taking a forward to the line, now not to say Robbie doesn't do this well but Robbie also runs the ball from dummy half alot more and also drifts across feild as we all no, something Ennis and Danny don't do. Now this is very good in Nrl and fits the Tigers style very well but in Origin the markers are never square as the refs pretty much put the whistle way except for blatant infringements, so Robbie doesn't get anywhere near the same amount of space in Origin as he does for the Tigers.

Having said all that though Ennis is a grub with a shit kicking game and Robbie has to be the NSW 9 and if he doesn't try to overplay his hand and picks his moments to run like he did in City v Country im sure he will carve.

According to Fox Sports, Keating smashed him in every department barring missed tackles:

Runs
Ennis: 4
Keating: 7

Metres gained
Ennis: 23m
Keating: 43m

Offloads
Ennis: 1
Keating: 2

Tackles
Ennis: 37
Keating: 47

Missed tackles
Ennis: 0
Keating: 3

Fantasy points
Ennis: 22
Keating: 32

Only Pritchard, Payne and Romelo got less fantasy points for the Dogs then Ennis.

What pathetic figures. And they consider this loser an origin player. No wonder nsw has lost the last 6 series.

And Farah has set the world alight this year? He has had one good game in 2012\. Hardly the form that warrants selection for origin. Ennis isn't playing well either but I think will be there as he is the incumbent.

I do hope they pick Farah though as I love QLD and it will make our job easier as I believe he isn't up to origin standard at this point. Go QLD

Ennis had the forwards moving tonight. They made good meters all night long.

Put your house on it…he will be NSW Hooker.

And it's started. Chris Barrett as SMH says Ennis has one hand on the NSW jersey after that performance.

FMD, he did NOTHING.

Ennis is a grubb..he can never be as good as farah full stop…. Farah should be picked number 9 for origen if not i see 7 in a row.

And this is a player built for origin? I guess all they are looking for then is someone who just passes the ball from dummy half, tackle and not do anything else.

No wonder we've been beaten 6 straight, boring footy.

His service was very good from dummy half and when he ran it from there he straightened the attack well, and got those tackles off on the right foot….he got their attack going well....albeit against a defensive line well known for little line speed.
His D was uninspiring, his kicking was un noticebale....but he made no errors and really didnt have to do too much last night unlike us last week who undone all the good work we did in the first hour

After tonights performance
How bout this one…"count the games Ennis has won for his team"
This season Robbie 1 ennis 0
Career Robbie 1 million ennis 0

Well, we had Ennis stats earlier, now lets see Farah's stats according to Fox Sports (Ennis in brackets):

Tries: 1 (0)
Linebreaks: 1 (0)
Runs: 7 (4)
Metres: 53m (23m)
Offloads: 1 (0)
Tackle busts: 5 (0)
Kicks: 8 (0)
Kick metres: 211 (0)
Errors: 0 (0)
Tackles: 37 (37)
Missed tackles: 2 (0)
Fantasy points: 52 (22)

And yet, Ennis is somehow Origin material? I tell ya, they just want someone to pick up the ball from dummy half and pass it, that's gotta be what they are looking for, because that's all Ennis does.

ennis uses his forwards very well (apart from hiding behind em in a fight)… straightens the attack well when at dummy half by taking a few steps forward, engaging the markers. he does these things better than farah imo.

on the other hand, he has no creativity whatsoever, which farah does in abundance.

also, one not so good thing about farah is that he always tends to get pushed back a lot when in defence, although to his defence, he gets isolated many times on the line.

i wouldnt be too disappointed if farah misses out tbh, however what ticks me off is the reasons such as he's not made for origin bla bla.

The best gauge to assess Robbie for Origin is the CvC match.

In the Tigers structure he does too much and it is easy to find faults if you look at them.

With a simple plan and a better all around team he got the pigs up, defended like a demon and still kicked and provided great service to the halfback.

Our system makes him look a more difficult problematic origin prospect than he actually is

true that, but im just pointing out something that most on here seem to miss.. ennis may be over rated but he is deffs not a pighead that most think of him as. also, robbie is not flawless, deffs more talented, deffs more hard working, but not flawless.
