Love him or hate him the guy is obviously the best and most innovative coach of the modern era. The question I would like to put to the forum is what would Wests Tigers look like today had Bellamy taken us on all those years ago when we offered him the job.

Pretty much the same as they do today and Bellamy would likely be unemployed. The NRL would not have allowed the tigers to get away with changing the fabric of the game through wrestling moves, and cheating the salary cap.

The NRL needs a successful Melbourne side and are willing to turn a blind eye to almost anything to ensure that team is successful.

Well that’s actually where Bellamy was smart. He went to a club that NRL needed to succeed - and still needs them to succeed.
Us - well I don’t think we are hated as in it’s not personal. But the NRL hates 9 Sydney teams and we are seemingly one of the clubs in the firing line,
Mate the NRL is big business and big business anywhere involves some level of corruption. Why would the NRL be any different.
Also, Greenberg and Beattie are vain men - they will need to leave a legacy - what better legacy than totally revamp the organisation of teams.
