I’ve seen a few wickets off the reverse sweep during this WC and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a stupid shot.

Our batsmen are so frustrating.
Back when we had good teams, the first 3 could get ducks and we’d still win because the next 3 would hit 50’s and fight hard.
No fight in these guys. If the going is good they’ll pile on the runs but add a tinge of adversity and they’ll collapse every time…one after the other…like a pack of fuggin lemmings.
Proper flat trackers who are more highly rated than they deserve to be.

Can't believe I'm sitting up at this hour watching cricket 😂 turned the telly on and saw a player collapse/fall over... couldn't go back to sleep (because of it) so stayed up to see how he'd go, but yeah he won it for us.

Yeah people are forgetting how good they were. They hit a lot of runs against one of the worlds most experienced and highly rated attacks, losing just the 5 wickets doing so. Then with the ball, they easily dismissed all of our batsmen….except 1.
This loss will hurt them but it may galvanise them to show not just how far they have come, but how far they still have to go. They are a good cricketing squad.

Hopefully that’s the start of a life long cricket obsession for you Lauren. Cricket is like this all the time, I can’t understand how anyone can say it’s boring?
We have a game Saturday arvo we should win comfortably, then the semi and final, don’t miss em it’ll be fun. If you need to know any meanings to cricketing terms (like Mankad) just ask.

They have really improved and it’s great to see. Inexperience cost them last night. It was all laughs and giggles 7/91, but it got in their heads and they thought they had it won. Then when the pressure was back on them at the end they just couldn’t collect themselves to get the last few wickets. It would have been a fairytale game for them had they cleaned us up, instead it was a miracle game for us. Fantastic to watch Maxi.
